5G Gateway G4AR-1, firmware v1.00.09 - 2.4Ghz networks no longer working

Some recent update (5G Gateway G4AR-1, now firmware v 1.00.09) broke 2.4Gz networks on my router.

They are no longer advertised, no matter what I do (rebooting, etc.).

No device can see any of my 2.4GHz networks any longer.

This is a big problem - printers, Sonos, etc. all need the 2.4GHz network to function.

Can anyone else with the same device and firmware confirm the issue? Or better yet, offer a solution?

Does anyone from T-Mobile look at these forums?

  • Update: T-Mobile tech support was pretty helpful.
After a factory reset, the router’s 2.4GHz antennae seems to be working again.

    Firmware is still 1.00.09.

I was having a similar issue. I rebooted many times with no avail. Then I was moving things around and I accidentally knocked the power cord out of the socket. After it powered up, the 2.4ghz network and my Epson printer finally connected. I was trying for days after receiving the new gateway.

I am still struggling to connect my chromecasts (first gen) with TV (working earlier) and wifi camera to connect with 5G since they are 2.4Ghz. Also my laptop wifi does not show this internet. What was the fix others followed other than reboot or on/off power seitch which I did couple of times?
