SUCCESS AT LAST!
I have finally learned how to switch macOS Cyberduck from passive to active mode, and it is now working on the gray tower-TM Home Internet.
For anyone else in the same situation, here is how to do it.
(1) Edit a bookmark rather than just opening a connection. This will show a "More Options" drop-down.
(2) Open “Connect Mode” and select“Active (PORT)”
I am just hoping T-M does not make any changes that will stop this from working…

Steps to enable SFTP on FileZilla:
- Open FileZilla, click the Archivo dropdown menu and select Site Manager
- Add a new site

FileZilla should now connect to you server ;-)
You CAN use regular FTP over explicit TLS just fine with T-mobile home internet/filezilla. While some may argue that SFTP is "better" or "more secure" TLS provides plenty of security for non-government/secure ULs/DLs I've been using this setting for 5 months now with zero issues and I connect at least 2 times a day on average. ¡Saludos!
