T-Mobile will give you a gateway to use, free. Good decision depends on who you talk to. I am happy and it works fine for me.

The device T-Mobile sends you includes a Wi-Fi 6 tri-band router.  No other equipment is needed unless you have a very large house.  All included in the $50 per month charge.

    Don’t use the T-Mobile router, it’s terrible.

Pick up something like this ASUS, it will last you years to come and give considerably better performance.

I was sent the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway when I signed up with TMO HI in December.  Are you saying the router you recommend can simply replace the Arcadyan gateway (and work better)?  Gracias.

    I have the same gateway.
Connecting directly to the gateway via wifi, from a distance of 2 ft, the maximum speeds I can achieve were 30 mbit download. Plugged in my ASUS to the ethernet port on the gateway and used my own wifi, and connected through my ASUS, I have no trouble nailing 350mbit down and 50-70 mbit upload speeds.
You can’t “replace” the gateway, as thats also the modem, however, you can connect your own router to the ethernet port.
