Phone Service in Mexico

Hello, I am traveling to Sayulita Mexico in a few days, and I want to make sure I can use my phone outside of having Wi-Fi where I am staying. How do I go about ensuring I have service to call, text, and go online when out and about? What do I need to add or do? Thank you! :)
