has anyone else been scammed by T-Mobile?
Hello, fellow T-Mobile customers. I am merely writing this with the hope that someone at T-Mobile will read it and FINALLY, after SEVEN months of headaches, fix and properly bill me.
In December of 2022 I turned in my iPhone XR in exchange for the iPhone 14 and added a line because T-Mobile was running an $800 off the new phone promo. I handed my phone over to an associate in the store. Well, we are coming up on July 2023 and every month I have to waste my time fighting to have my bill corrected because every month T-Mobile does not apply the promo (bill credits.)
Every month whomever helps me promises that they have updated and fixed the error, but the next month it is the same old story. At some point I was told that they never received my trade-in, which is absurd because it was not lost in the mail or something. I handed it over in the store! So, did the associate pocket my trade-in?? I was told they would investigate and follow up with me. I never received a follow-up, and then I was incorrectly billed again.
Nobody at T-Mobile will provide a point of contact, someone who I can communicate with so that I do not have to spend an hour+ every month explaining the problem again with someone new. It is terrible service. I have been more than patient. This is ridiculous.
I would NEVER ever ever recommend T-Mobile to anyone based on this experience. I feel stuck because if I cancel my service with T-Mobile then they will say that I still owe the balance of the iPhone 14. I am happy to pay the small amount that I might actually owe at this point, but they might say I am working off the full cost of a new phone, vs the $300 that it should be because of the promo.
T-Mobile, please fix my account! Please bill me properly! At this point I feel that you have stolen my iPhone XR and are ripping me off/trying to steal more from me by not honoring the promo.

Third Day dealing with the same exact thing except I have four data Sims supposed to be $10 each 120 GB the four lines three I brought with me and one that we had a or deal with because UPS stole my sim at the box with my phone and for some reason that was the only number they can send a one-time pin to even though all three of my actual numbers were already activated on the line now this SIM card in question ended up being a very big headache because I had one that was already here that they swapped out and put the information on well for some reason there is no voice service on my 4th SIM for this number that they really wanted me to have so I just ended up putting in my tablet as long as this going to still be 25 per line I'll have no issues with it but my first bill should definitely not be $201 because I have promo this and promo that but of course the scam is it won't show up to a bill or two later the debit card scam etc etc in order to get these certain promos and discounts you have to do stupid that we were going to do anyway like set up a debit card for auto paid that's easily 5 to $15 credit and promo all I know is if my bill doesn't drop before my bill next month we are going to have an issue and I am leaving this is my third coming this year and I have no problem with up my credit I'm disabled baby I don't give a about credit

T - Mobile Store
1151 Galleria Blvd #2245
Roseville, CA 95678
Same scam, different customer: Same associate as the previous compliant from this store 6 months ago (Angry Customer) - cornrows, heavy-set and seemed stoned
I went into a T-Mobile store at the Roseville Galleria, in Roseville, CA on June 20, 2024 and ask an associate what kind of promos and trade-ins they had going. I was told I would get $800 credit for a trade-in of my Samsung Note 9 towards a Samsung S24. I clarified with the associate if there would be any extra fees and he stated that I would only pay sales tax on my new phone (which I did) and that I would not have any extra charges on my phone bill. The store had terrible wifi and all my photos and such didn't download before the store closed at 8pm. So, I took my old and new phone home while it continued to transfer. That night we were notified that the phone insurance we were paying on 2 lines was removed. We were also notified that 2 lines were added to our account. The next day I went back to the store and turned in my old phone and told the same associate that 2 lines were added and the insurance removed from 2 existing lines. He stammered and stuttered and said it was a mistake and supposedly removed the 2 lines and added the insurance back. When the July bill came it went up around $50 and showed that those 2 extra lines were suspended but we were still being charged for the lines. I called and spoke to a Customer Care Representative. He apologized, supposedly fixed the 2 extra line charges and I was told I would see a credit on the next bill and that I would not be charged for those lines in the future. Now it's September and our bill is still not correct and even worse I'm being charged $41.67 with a note on the bill that states it's payment 3 of 24 (meaning I'm paying for my new phone). So, I called Customer Care again today, September 26, 2024 and the associate told me that while researching the new charges he found that the promo I was given was $800 for a new phone if I added a new line! What!? This was never discussed or I wouldn't have upgraded my phone at that time. When I called in July about those 2 lines, I was never told that if I removed them that it would null and void my promo (but that's what it did and why I'm now being charged $41.67 a month). My only other option is to accept another promo that is a $300 credit towarsd a new phone.
Seems like T-Mobile has quite the scam going. When I Googled "T-Mobile scammed me" this site came up and it seems like this is happening on a regular basis. I was told by the supervisor I was speaking with that I need to go back to the store and speak with manager and then my best course of action is to "tweet" about my experience. What?! He said T-Mobile has social media accounts and follows them closely. I can also write a letter and mail it USPS to the Legal Department at:
T-Mobilewireless
Legal Dept.
12920 South East 38th Street
Bellevue, Washington 98006-1250
A billion dollar corporation is screwing their customers and instead of making it right and honoring the promo we were told we had they are taking the money and running.

ME!
I went to the store to purchase a new phone for my husband, we switched to a family plan and the seller obviously mentioned we were getting the best deal etc.
Once we were about to finish all the activation, etc, he went to the back of the store and came back with three trackers and said he would throw those three for free. He never mentioned we would get a monthly bill for those. He took my phone from my hands and activated them all. I noticed the charge few months later and called T Mobile, to what their response is they cannot do anything because 14 days have passed.
I feel scammed. He didn't disclose the truth, he gave us a bunch of garbage making us feel they were gifts and I don't even use those trackers. Now if I cancel them, I need to pay for the device. Like $40 each
I am really disappointed being a customer from T Mobile for so many years this is unacceptable

Had the exact same things hqppen as the posts here. This company is a total scam from top down. The reps must have a canned speech that they follow because we are all told the same things.
Every month for a year I have had to call to dispute my bill. I was also sold the 4 iPhone @ $100 scam. My bill has been as much as $228 but every month it's different and takes me upwards of an hour to get someone on the phone to do anything. I firmly believe that they are told to keep the customer on the phone for at least an hour that way it will be so painful to hey won't go through the process.
i will make it my mission for the remaining 12 months with them to post my story somewhere and spread the word about this scam company.
I am happy to be apart of a class action suit against them.
this message board is secured so the general public can’t see it but I was surprised so many people had the exact same experience as me.

¡Ayuda!
Got totally scammed by T Mobile!
Recently, t mobile had an over 55 plan and a promo where you get $600 off any new phone for every new line you add (at $10 a month ea)…
Well, after taking advantage of these two deals, and spending at least an hour on the phone with t mobile reps....I was happy to receive 2 new samsung phones at $600.00 off ea ....with 2 new phantom lines (at $10 ea a month)...which i was not plan on using.
After 2 months of bulls, I found that not only was I charged full pop for both new phones, but I was also not receiving the over 55 plan rate!
called t mobile and they tell me that since I had 3 lines (our daughter is on our plan)...I don't qualify for the over 55 plan. Also, they told me I don't qualify for the $600 off for each new phone....so I was paying full retail price for everything!
I told them that t mobile lied to me! Why else would I pay for 2 extra phantom lines if I wasn't getting the deal they told me over the phone!
The T mobile agent said there was nothing they could do. I told her to take the 2 new phones back polciy.! she told me it was past the 15 day return policy.
phuk them. they lied to me, scammed me and charged me for everything, even though I was told that I was getting the promo deals.
so, they made me buy $2000.00 in phones at no discount, and gave me no deals, and charged me for phantom lines!
it not over, I plan on taking this to the next level.
anyone else got screwed by these lying thieving scumbags?
