502 Bad Gateway Error
Just set up my T-Mobile Home internet and I keep getting this 502 Bad Gateway error message when I try to download a file on my desktop and laptop. But this does not happen with my phone or tablet. Any suggestions?

Here is an explanation to a 502 error. If you can download something to your phone but not your computer, I'd look at your DNS settings on those devices. Make sure you have 192.168.12.1 as your first setting. This sends your HTTP request directly to the T-Mobile gateway to resolve. If you are using additional DNS entries, they should occur detrás the gateway. As an example, if you're using OpenDNS settings, your DNS would look like this:
192.168.12.1
208.67.220.220
208.67.222.222
Hope this helps with your problem. Good luck!

@JohnS2020 Did you use the T-Mobile internet app to set up your gateway? If so, can you connect your phone, computer, or tablet via wifi to the new gateway? If not, some people said they had success resetting the gateway. Depending on the type, the reset button is on the side or bottom.
¡Buena suerte!

A 502 Bad Gateway error message typically indicates that there's an issue with the server that your browser is trying to connect to. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
-
Clear your browser's cache and cookies: Sometimes, outdated or corrupted files in your browser's cache or cookies can cause issues with web pages. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies and then try downloading the file again.
-
Try a different browser: If you're still experiencing the issue after clearing your cache and cookies, try downloading the file using a different browser.
-
Disable your firewall or antivirus software temporarily: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block connections to certain servers, which can cause a 502 Bad Gateway error. Try disabling your firewall or antivirus software temporarily and then try downloading the file again.
-
Restart your computer and modem: Sometimes, simply restarting your computer and modem can resolve connection issues.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that there may be an issue with T-Mobile's servers or network. In that case, you may want to contact T-Mobile's customer support for further assistance.

Thanks Everyone,
The Error message only comes up when I try to download a pdf file from a particular website that I use. I found another way to download the files and it works fine. It just doesn't work when I try to download in the usual way.
Gracias nuevamente,
John
