High pitch noise from 5G gateway
I noticed the new gateway produces this high pitch noise constantly that is super irritating now that I've noticed it. It's one of those things that you can't ignore once you noticed it. Does anyone have this issue?
Take it back for an exchange.
You're saying that is not a normal thing. Am wondering if the build quality of this is just garbage though. Basically everything is gonna have the same issue
It is probably a component, maybe a capacitor getting ready to fail. It happens that out of spec components fail prematurely. Manufacturers push out so many devices and not every single component can be tested. Things sometimes slip through the cracks. I would not say it is a "normal thing" but with the huge volume of electronic components going out to users faulty components can get through. Best thing to do is get an exchange unit on the way and send that one back.
T-Mobile has the vendor of the gateway provide the solution so it is what it is. Things happen.
