Is there any hope for Home Internet to work in the near future?

My KDV21 gateway worked great for a couple of months last summer. Then in September it became virtually unusable (slow!). I complained to tech support and they told me the same thing they've been telling everyone else - “The tower you connect to is being upgraded.”
To my surprise, I received an email from TMobile in early November saying that indeed, the tower I connect to most frequently is being upgraded. Just for kicks I drove by the tower a day or two later and there were technicians hanging out by their trucks. I stopped to chat and they were friendly, saying that they were upgrading the tower from LTE to 5G. They said that in a couple of days I should be rocking.
Two days later I began getting over 200 Mbps downloads and 10 Mbps uploads!
So to answer your question, there is hope. But I think you need to be patient, because no one knows TMobile's upgrade schedule.
