7 TopicsActivation and Taxes based on Credit Limit?
There is currently a deal on the website that says iphone15 "on us" when you upgrade or already have a go5g plus plan and a trade-in device. However, when I tried to do the upgrade online, it's showing a $650 down payment. When I asked customer service about this, I was told that "the charge is based on taxes and activation fees and my credit limit is low, so my down paymentis higher." Online it says the activation fee is $35, and the sales tax for this phone in my state would only be about $56, for a total of about $100-ish. I brought this to the attention of customer service and was told that mine is different because of my credit. But if the phone is free, why is there a down payment involved? I should only be paying the fee and taxes, not for the phone itself. I tried to keep asking questions but was told that they already explained it to me in detail and that is the basic Tmobile policy. I asked for them to send me the link to the policy or email it to me, but I got no response. Has anyone else experienced this? I am VERY confused why tax and an activation fee would be based on my credit limit.568Visto0likes5Comentariosre-activating a canceled line from abroad
Hi, I'm a student and I studied abroad this year. I cancelled (not suspended) my T-mobile line when I left the US. I still have the SIM card. I'm coming back to the US soon and I'd like to re-activate my line with my old sim card. Can I do this without having to call T-mobile from an international number? I'd like to do this ASAP before I return. Thanks in advance for your help.1.1KViews0likes6ComentariosActivating old Prepaid account
I got my Prepaid account in June 2022 but because I'm not from US I had to go back to my home country where we don't have T-mobile. Today I got an email saying that my account is cancelled. I love the phone number that I got and it will be easy for me when I go back to use the same one for friends and family calls. Do you know if I will be able to keep it and try to activate it while I still have time or will they automatically give me new one when I go back? Thank you all in advance for the answers! :)148Visto0likes3ComentariosImpossible to activate new prepaid MI line on website, control disabled
Dear T-Mobile and Community: I'm running across a problem trying to activate a new prepaid MI line on a new account. It appears that a required website control is disabled in the website's coding. These steps have successfully duplicated the problem on five different browsers, including Windows/Edge, Windows/Firefox, Windows/Chrome, MacOS/Safari, and IOS/Safari: 1. Start at: https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/prepaid-internet 2. Click on First GET STARTED button right in center top of page, takes you to: https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/plan-detail/mobile-internet 3. Select any plan (I used the first one, 2GB/$10 for testing). 4. In the popup, select NEW CUSTOMER. 5. You're now in PRODUCT SELECTOR with your plan selected. Scroll to Device, Choose Bring your own device. 6. Click on the newly-exposed tab "Lets connect your device with this line!" 7. Skip IMEI check (My T-Mobile iPAD isn't recognized by the system, but that's a database issue, separate from this.) 8. Tell the system you have a T-Mobile SIM card, input your SIM card number. Verify and click CONTINUE. 9. On the next screen, put in your new email address, choose a PIN, and put in your contact information. Click CONTINUE. 10. Now you're at https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/cart/line-setup, which is the page with the problem. 10A. Put in device nickname. 10B. Choose get a new number. 10C. Opt-in to E911, input address. 10D. Select ZIP code for Primary Place of Use PPU. AND... the bug: 10E. Observe that the PRIMARY NUMBER MENU is *disabled* (greyed out completely), and unable to be input or selected. 10F. Observe that the CONTINUE button is ALSO *disabled* (greyed out completely), and unable to be selected. The only choice at this point is "EDIT CART', which takes you back two pages to step 8, above. In short it is impossible to get past this point on any computer or browser, and is therefore impossible to self-active a Prepaid Mobile Internet line with your own SIM card as a new account on the T-Mobile website. Please advise!Solved4.1KViews0likes12ComentariosLo sentimos, esa tarjeta SIM está reservada. Prueba esa SIM otra vez dentro de 2 horas, comunícate con T-Mobile o visita tu tienda T-Mobile local para obtener una nueva tarjeta SIM.
I have called t-mobile prepaid customer service, trying to transfer my boost mobile phone number over. They told me they would call me back but they never did. I called back again they said the same thing as the first agent, saying I have to wait 2 hours for it to work. but I have already waited 5 days by now, it is still not working. They never get back to me. Can someone please help? When I tried to reach out through livechat they all said they can't help me through live chat. When I called back earlier today I got hung up on several times by 3 different people.796Visto0likes1Comentario
