16 TopicsActivation and Taxes based on Credit Limit?
There is currently a deal on the website that says iphone15 "on us" when you upgrade or already have a go5g plus plan and a trade-in device. However, when I tried to do the upgrade online, it's showing a $650 down payment. When I asked customer service about this, I was told that "the charge is based on taxes and activation fees and my credit limit is low, so my down paymentis higher." Online it says the activation fee is $35, and the sales tax for this phone in my state would only be about $56, for a total of about $100-ish. I brought this to the attention of customer service and was told that mine is different because of my credit. But if the phone is free, why is there a down payment involved? I should only be paying the fee and taxes, not for the phone itself. I tried to keep asking questions but was told that they already explained it to me in detail and that is the basic Tmobile policy. I asked for them to send me the link to the policy or email it to me, but I got no response. Has anyone else experienced this? I am VERY confused why tax and an activation fee would be based on my credit limit.914Visto0likes5Comentariosre-activating a canceled line from abroad
Hi, I'm a student and I studied abroad this year. I cancelled (not suspended) my T-mobile line when I left the US. I still have the SIM card. I'm coming back to the US soon and I'd like to re-activate my line with my old sim card. Can I do this without having to call T-mobile from an international number? I'd like to do this ASAP before I return. Thanks in advance for your help.1.1KViews0likes6ComentariosActivate eSim after purchasing a plan through the Prepaid eSim app
I will visit the US next week for 1 month as a tourist, I purchased the $60 monthly plan through the Prepaid eSim app on my iPhone 12 Pro, I completed the eSim purchasesteps successfully, and when the app prompted me to activate the eSim I chose not to activate and dismissed that pop up screen, because I don't want to start the plan now, I want to start it once I arrive in the US, I couldn't find a way to start activating the eSim process again without having to call T-Mobile support number, which's not possible for me, because international calls are too expensive (calling from Saudi Arabia)and I don't have a different phone with a US number to call them once I arrive (tourists usually don't have that choice). Is there a possible way to activate the eSim once I arrive in the US ?773Visto0likes4ComentariosVisual Voicemail will not activate on prepaid account
I have a pre-paid account without mobile data. Visual Voicemail had been working but then there was an update last week. When opening updated Visual Voicemail it wants to activate using "supported mobile carrier network". It says I can't use WIFI to activate though it will work once activated. Pressing "getting started" results in "Visual Voicemail cannot be authenticated due to cellular data mode being turned off". I can turn on mobile data without error. Trying again I get new message "Visual Voicemail was not activated please try again." Trying again multiple times does not work. Phone is a OnePlus Nord N200 5g. Any ideas? Checking to see if other small business in the community are being scammed out of their credits for switching services to T-Mobile. We never received our promised $4,000 in credits (yes, it is four thousand, no extra zeros, no exaggeration). Even after over 6 months - ever few weeks / billing cycle - it is surprise and shock when we have to inform T-mobile the credits did not postdespite assurance someone will be watching the account closely to make sure it happens. We get hold of sales & transition team - surprise and shock…. then bumping starts - it was never one to two billing cycles it was 90 days, it was not 90 days it was sometime between 90 days to 6 months, then it is after 90 days but over course of 10 billing cycles…. we reached all the milestones NOTHING ! Now they have started splitting hairs…. when we ported-in our lines we did not keep all the old numbers, we got additional lines as part of a10 line promotion, but the promotion for 10 new lines did not cover new activation …. WTF - you sold it to me, you were part of ever step of the service transition, you never made any distinction, it was come one come all, bring your old line, bring your old phone, get a new line, get a new phone - justsign-up for service with T-Mobile,what's with all this pretense after the transition ? For last 6 months when we kept getting confirmation credits will post - no one knew these fine differentiation. Customer care (Business Expert) are equally frustrating, they will keep you on the phone for 30 to 40 minutes and then claim it needs further research and they will call back in in 1 to 2 business days. Nothing comes out of it… no call back. Call again, new rep…narrate everything again (as if all the notes other rep typed have disappeared from the record)… another 30 to 40 minutes…. in the end same outcome. Request escalation no response. Request contact information for someone in management - no response. Checking to see if we are an exception or this is common. And, if anyone had any contact for someone in T-Mobile Business - management team.172Visto0likes2ComentariosIs it possible to activate an international model Apple Watch (Series 6 or 7) on a T-Mobile plan?
I need to upgrade my Apple Watch, and due to near-future plans,I know I will need theLTE bands from an international model more than I need the unique US model ones now. However, it would be nice to upgrade now and use it in here in the meanwhile. I realize I will be missing one of the extended range LTE T-Mobile bands, but I don't think that will affect me much. Anyway, the question is, has anybody activated (or does anyone know if T-Mobile will allow us to)an international model Apple Watchon a watch line? It should technically be possible, but I've read that some carriers in other countries don't allow US models to be activated whileothers do, so I'm wondering what the T-Mobile policy is.151Visto0likes2Comentarios
