high latency

I have purchased the 5G home internet and off the bat have issues with the "barebones" firmware on the Nokia 5G21-12W-AGateway. No ability to dictate port forwarding, enable UPNP, but more specifically turn it into a "dumb modem". My home network needs the ability to put my Ubiquiti Edge Router in the DMZ(modem in bridge mode) so my OpenVPN server and Plex server can have public access. For the first couple weeks I kept my Ubiquity Router connected to fu*king ATT DSL and only put a few devices on the T-MOB GW. It was pretty unpredictable and unstable. The last 3 days its been stable with 300Mbps down, and 20+Mbps up and below 50ms ping times. So on a Sunday with everyone home, I did it. Plugged it in and changed the DNS servers on my Ubiquity DHCP. It couldn't handle the throughput. From my desktop I was running continuouspings to my pubic web server and google.com. Separately they would become unreachableor timeout, not in succession but at different times. I've got 2 separate tickets open with them now for these issues. What I am really posting for here is I would liketo know if anyone else has similar issues, with 40+ devices on their LAN in a mildly similar configuration?12KViews4likes8ComentariosProblem with high latency/ping
Hello all. We received our 5g Gateway two days ago and so far, have big problems. We've been testing our latency and speeds over and over at https://www.speedtest.net and have observed the latency/ping on both our Windows 11 PCs is consistently between 40-60ms, at all hours of the day and night. Download varies between 160mbps and 0.5mbps. Upload is steady around 20-40mbps. We have done the following: Moved around the Gateway to many different areas of the house, tested the results at Speedtest.net, and selected the best area (3 bars). Oddly, this is NOT close to a window, but in the middle of the kitchen. (Yes, I am an RF engineer and I know how nuts that is. Makes zero sense to me, but that's what our results repeatedly demonstrate. Regardless, ping is the same everywhere in the house.) Downloaded and run TCPOptimizer Rebooted our machines several times Contacted Tech Support, who said something about "keeping an eye on the tower" and promised to call us back in 24 hours. (It's now been 24+ hours.) Does anyone have ideas to help us lower this ping? It's severely interfering with video calls and online gaming. ¡Gracias!10KViews4likes6ComentariosAre Tmobile internet for business prioritized on the network? HIGH LATENCY!!!
I just installed Tmobile internet and have been having issues with through-put and high latency. Speeds when low latency, which is only between midnight and 5am PST in Everett WA, allows for up to 175mbps down, but during the business hours and high latency we are getting 2-8mbps download. Unacceptable for a business internet solution. Are these devices prioritized on the network to ensure some or ANY type of service level?85Visto1like1Comentario
