Sending/receiving MMS not working over WiFi
I just switched to T-Mobile (October 2023) and I cant send or receive MMS/group text messages over WiFi. My WiFi has to be OFF and mobile data turned ON for me to send/receive MMS group text messages. (no other combination of the two work other than that) Never had a problem with this on Verizon! And everything i've read so far says this is still a persistent issue (I remember i had this issue on t-mobile back in 2013). I've been using Samsung S series devices. Currently on my Note10. Is there a fix for this? Why is this still an issue? Seriously considering switching back to Verizon.
MMS TEXT pic over 1mb
So, former Verizon customer, just switched over to T-Mobile. With native Samsung note 20 text app, I can't send a pic over 1mb. I've never had this issue before, so when I see T-Mobile give the excuse that all mms limit the size to 1mb, I call bs. I convertto the google text app, and the pic goes through fine. what is up T-Mobile? I think you have an issue you're not whiling to fix,imo.
Disable MMS/Texting over WiFi
So I have the dreaded sporadic issues sending an receiving text message while connected to WiFi. Since there seems to be no solution, T-Mobile sent me a 4G hotspot for my house. While in theory that's fine, I have better cell service in the house, I still want to use WiFi for my data. I have high speed internet for a reason. OK. To the point.I don't want to turn WiFi off. That seems pointless. What I want to do is to Only Use Cellular Network for Texting, but I can't findany way to do so. I turned off WiFi calling, but that was never an issue. It actually worked fine. What I want may not be possible. Just curious if there is perhaps a Setting I'm not aware of. I have a Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra. Latest version of Android. I use the stock Samsung texting app (which could be the issue). TIA
random texts
So today I started getting random texts from unknown numbers. The texts are blank and when I receive the texts, the notification sounds doesn't go off so I see it when I go to my messages. The numbers aren't U.S numbers and I've already blocked 3 of the numbers but they all start with +447 and the number will be 12 digits long.
Trouble getting my texts on a Nokia X100
My phone acts like it's on DND mode. However I've never used DND and have gone through all setting, including developer options, to make sure messages are always pushed through both SMS and Messenger messages. Its almost like the phone receives it but then doesn't make the sound until 20 minutes later or until I open the phone. I have replaced my SIM and have reset my network connections as well. Only other thing I can think of is that maybe there's a receiver of some kind thats bad in the phone itself.. Any have any ideas or had the same thing happen?
trouble receiving photos in text messages
When a friend texts me a photo, I get no notification. When I discover the message, I have to download the photo and it often does notdownload over wifi, only 5g. I often don't discover the message until days later and by then the download period has expired. I have anLG velvet. Please help!Picture texts fail to send unless the contact responds
I got an iphone 12 on the tmobile network. This issue happened on my previous phone an iphone 11 too. So i try to send a picture text to someone who has an android phone and the picture will fail to send unless the person im sending the picture to responds back. Then once the person responds, the pictures go through fine for about a day or 2 and then the problem comes back and they have to text me so i can send a picture. It seems like it doesnt matter what android phone it is and the carrier its on, the issue occurs with all android phones and carriers those androids are on. Text messages send just fine, its just the pictures are the issue until that person responds back to me.Group MMS glitch
So this is an extremely odd occurrence but yesterday my Dad(galaxy j7)sent a group text to my wife(galaxy s10) and I(galaxy s10) wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Well when my wife responded the group message disappeared and it only showed as a conversation between myself and her. Now the weird part is after that anytime I text my wife or she texts me my Dad receives the message as well.We have disabled group messaging, cleared the message app cache, reset app preferences, and deleted each other as contacts. I've exhausted hours with tech support from Samsung and T-Mobile to no avail. We still are not saved as contacts in each others phones and deleted all messages between us yet still when I text my wife or she texts me somehow my dad receives it as well. All three of us have T-Mobile for a carrier but 2 different plans. I am hoping something similar has happened to someone else and can help us out.
