16 TopicsT-Mobile 5G Connection Issues causing missed Texts, Calls, and Voicemail - NO DATA!
I just don't understand the disconnect or differences in the 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G wireless generations and why 5G seems to be so different. I never had to second guess what my status bar is indicating. I have had "5G" connection issues on Apple, Samsung, and now Google devices. Random errors like "emergency calls only" or no signal whatsoever. Or full 5G UC access - yet I can dial my phone and watch it not ring or indicate a missed call. I can even send a text message or leave a voicemail and neither ever arrive. Thought this issue was limited to Samsung and Apple. Got a Pixel - same issue - so I think it's the Tech itself and/or the tower but not the devices. Had 5G + on my Pixel 6 - placed a call while out and it rang but left voicemail - nothing. Realized the voicemail didn't pop up - tried again - nothing. Then I got a "missed" call. Yet no ring. When asked, the person said it rang but it was a long delay, and it didn't seem like a regular ring. Not sure why this is but when 5G is enabled, at some point your device "disconnects" from the network and you have no idea you have missed any contact attempts. Turn 5G off? Walla! Issues are gone. Smh Did those two voicemails ever pop up? Nope! Still waiting. Imagine if someone called me during this time, left their dying will on my voicemail and I would not have any clue they called me, let alone that they left a message. Meanwhile my phone shows connected and full 5G access. T-Mobile engineers need to speak on this, and they need to stop this 5G push if it isn't even reliable. NEVER had to ponder if my device is connected or not with LTE. NEVER. I guess I will try 5G when 6G comes out ……….5.1KViews8likes14ComentariosWhat does your Pixel 6 / P6 Pro pre-order look like?
I paid off a "free" phone, upgraded my account and don't see the Pixel 6 Pro pre-order in my order status. Is this normal? If you have a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro pre-ordered, how does that appear on your account? Did you complete the device agreement signature, etc at time of pre-order? Customer service has provided an order number and assured the pre-order is in. It feels rather vague and a bit alarming that there is zero way to track the order, no way to know expected ship date, etc.Solved4.8KViews1like50ComentariosPixel 6 Pro doesnt work on 5G UC
Anyone have any ideas? I can't call or text on 5G UC. It's shows signal and on network but nothing works. I had to disable 5G and reboot my phone to get it to work. The Pixel also has trouble moving from wifi calling to mobile and will say disconnected like this even though it shows mobile connectivity. Pixel 6 Pro. Purchased from and shipped by T-Mobile. On T-Mobile network. Northern Colorado.3.9KViews1like9ComentariosE911 adress update in order to use wifi calling
I have recently switched phones to the new pixel 6 and now I am unable to make calls using wifi. I have gotten a notification saying I need to update my E911 address but when I try to do so from the TMobile website, it will not even let me change the address. How can I resolve this issue so that I can use wifi calling again? Thanks in advance.1.7KViews0likes1ComentarioAndroid 13 Pixel 6a
Have any other Pixel users received the Android 13 update that came out yesterday. I have a Pixel 6a and haven't been able to update yet. I mentioned in another post that T-mobile doesn't seem to recognize my phone, so I am curious if that is part of the issue or if T-mobile is just slow rolling Android 13 out to other pixels too.Solved1.7KViews0likes25ComentariosWhy is my Pixel 3 not eligible for a new SIM card?
I have been a Sprint customer for over 15 years now, with very few issues. Once T-Mobile and Sprint merged I began to see the quality of my cell service drop over time, and then Ireceived an email stating that I could come in to a T-Mobile store for a "SIM swap" to take advantage of the "T-Mobile Network Experience". When I went in to the T-Mobile store, the employee told me that he could swap my SIM card in just a few minutes. Then, after putting in all of my information he said that my phone did not qualify for the SIM swap and that I would have to upgrade to a new phone to qualify. He even showed me on the computer that the system was prompting him to tell me this. I have an unlocked Pixel 3, that I purchased outright from Google two years ago. The phone is even listed as a compatible device by T-Mobile here (https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/lte-band-compatible-devices). The employee at the store told me that Sprint towers are being shut down, and that my service will continue getting worse until I get a T-Mobile SIM card. It seems that T-Mobile is trying to force me in to spending hundreds of dollars on a new phone just to have decent service again. I feel like I'm being scammed here. Does anyone have information on why I can't get a T-Mobile SIM card for my Pixel 3? I've tried getting answers in store and through the customer service chat function online with no actual answer other than "Your phone doesn't qualify". I should be given a new SIM regardless of the phone if the merger is causing Sprint customers to lose service as the towers are being shut down. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. I'm having a hard time believing that T-Mobile is the ONLY major carrier that does not have a single option past the basic 128 GB for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. I don't know anyone who would pay over a thousand dollars for a flagshipphone with only 128 GB. This seems like a massive oversight. I have spoken with customer service through chat and over the phone and they all say that they only have the 128 GB and when asked if they are getting other storage space optionsthey say "We don't have that information." We just switched from Verizon a few months ago. Verizon offers the same trade-in deals but they have storage space options up to 512 GB. Google Store and Best Buy will only offer me $160 dollars for my phone as a trade-in deal but with T-Mobile I could get up to $800 with my trade-in but I can not buy a phone with only 128 GB. One customer service rep told me that they would start selling the 256gb models on October 12, its October 20th and at this rate, I don't think it's ever going to happen. This is extremely disappointing. Does anyone have any information on if they will offer a larger storage space for this phone?799Visto3likes6ComentariosGoogle pixel 7 pro overheating
Is anyone experiencing a very hot Google pixel 7 when actively using it? I just got my phone 2 days ago, and if I do anything on it for more than 5 mins it gets crazy hot, and I can barely hold it. I am waiting for my case to come and hopefully, that will help but is this expected behavior? If not, how do you report this so it can be addressed by the Google developers?Solved799Visto0likes6ComentariosLooking to transfer eSim back to old phone
Hello, I recently replaced my Google Pixel 4 with a Samsung Z Flip 4, and transferred my T-Mobile service from one to the another using an eSim. Well, a few months later I have dropped my Z Flip 4 and broken it to the point of being unusable, so I would like to reactivate my Pixel while addressing my broken phone. Can someone please tell me how to transfer eSimback to my Pixel? I would love for there to be a fix so easy and obvious that this question is borderline not even worth asking, but I'm struggling to find it on my own. ¡Gracias!699Visto0likes8Comentarios
