Hi, I got the new Home Internet Cylinder router. Pretty simple setup but the speeds are good and the price is right. I have a few devices I have always used WPS to connect. Some extenders and some indoor cameras. Can't figure out how to do it now. I do not see a WPS button. Am I missing something? The interface is so simple but maybe it will get better with time. I'm having a few issues with my 5g T-mobile gateway/router (the cylinder) with my HP printer and maybe my Roku (I stopped seeing its Wi-Fi a few days ago). What I'm wondering is, if I use my own router in bridge/AP mode and connect to that, will that resolve potential issues I'm seeing? Or no, since it's all part of the same network anyway?8.8KViews0likes7ComentariosRouter suggestions for adding to the 5G gateway
Wondering what anyone who has added their own router to the 5G gateway have gone with. I want to be able to adjust the packet size and am looking to lower latency. I mean, I have really good latency at the moment, but do notic sometimes when streaming NetFlix or whatever, there is some "skips"? in the audio. Just like a 1/10th of a second little blips but definitely noticeable. I'm no pro but I'm pretty sure I want OpenWRT with the ability to run SQM and at a minimum, be bale to dictate my packet size. Also would like to not have to break the bank.Solved826Visto0likes7ComentariosConnect Mi-fi 5g pro m3000 Hotspot to mesh network
Is it possible to connect the Mifi 5G Pro to a mesh network? I have asked Inseego, they have not tested it…. and I have reached out to T-link and they have not tested either. I connected it to the mesh system and it shows it being a LAN Line, but I can't connect to it. Thanks in advance for any help given!149Visto0likes0ComentariosConnect T-Mobile 5G Hotspot to TP-Link Deco Mesh Wifi system (Deco X60)
I have tried to connect a cable via the USB-C to connect to ethernet on the Deco X60. It doesn't seem to recognize it. The cable is a Belkin USB-C to Ethernet. I'm thinking of switching to the Mifi X Pro (M3000) which has the Ethernet Port built in. Can anyone help me with this setup? We currently have Satellite for internet and have found we get a better signal with the Hotspot. I would like to get rid of the Satellite internet and use the Hotspot permanently. When I plug in the cable to the Hotspot it says I'm charging the system…. Is there something in the settings I need to change on the Hotspot to have the Deco see it? Thanks in advance for the help!611Visto0likes0Comentarioswi fi router for gateway
I am a newbie and not a techie, but I am trying to set up a router to my gateway. I see many suggestions to turn off the wifi on the gateway and use a separate router. I am looking for an inexpensive (under $150) rounter to add to my gateway. (Not sure it will even help so I don't want to invest too much).I am looking for one that hooks up without having to make a lot of modifications. Did I mention I'm not that tech savvy. Is there a specific ethernet cable number I need? Has anyone hooked up a wi fi 6 router that just works? Nater Tater recommends ASUS, any other brands? Thanks for any advice you can give me. I am less than a mile from my tower, I get 2 bars on 4G and 3 bars on 5G and routinely am getting downloads speeds less than 1Mbps.. not acceptable. HELP!!!!! Tech support at T mobile is no help. They just keep having me factory reset, etc.9.7KViews0likes6ComentariosProblems and Security of TM-AC1900 ROUTER (rebranded ASUS)
I have 2 concerns and maybe some other t-mbile user can help me. 1. This router seems to have compatibility issues with my samsung s9 using 2.4Ghz frequency... my phone drops the connection and then it says connection with no internet. Sometimes it comes back after turning wifi off or restarting the phone or of course restarting the router. Anyone have any idea? 2. I'm concerned that this router has security issues. There haven't been any firmware updates in a loooooong time. The ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware is being updated... last update was 3/10/2020 Version 3.0.0.4.385.20253 to fix CVE-2019-15126 (Kr00k) vulnerability. T-mobile is being extremely irresponsible not allowing people to get updates for these known vulnerabilities. As a customer what should I do? Trash it? Hack it? (yes i know you can do some stuff to force some firmware updates.. but then you have to hack it the next time and the next ... on and on). T-Mobile if you're listening please work with Asus to get us these critical and necessary updates. Or just release some software/firmware to let us "convert" our routers to RT-AC68Us. Thanks for any help people can provide!Solved2.4KViews0likes11ComentariosUsing T-Mobile as second WAN on Asus RT-GXE11000
Does anyone have this setup running? I have Verizon FiOS 1 Gbps service for my primary internet, and I wanted to use the T-Mobile 5G Internet in a load balance setup. I get very good speeds where I live (630/120). Has anyone had luck with setting this up? I should note, I have the home gateway that does not allow disabling the WiFi network, so I'm expecting I'll have to deal with a double NAT situation. However, as long as I connect to the Asus WiFi, I would assume that it would be able to access Verizon and T-Mobile? EDIT: Sorry for the typo in the title. It's the Asus GT-AXE11000.Solved454Visto0likes3Comentarios
