9 TopicsConnect Archer C54 to Sagecomm Gateway
Hello to all, My wife has been having issues connecting her Nintendo Switch to Animal Crossing and I have read that maybe adding a router would help. I purchased a TP Link Archer C54 router and it powers and gives a network but there is no internet connection. I am using the Ethernet ports in the back of the sagecomm. I have tried everything. Any suggestions to help this router connect to the internet would be great. Thanks, MichaelSolved175Visto0likes6ComentariosT-mobile Business Internet - Why do you even offer this if you can't remotely access any IOT device behind the gateway?
Basics of any ISP is to allow remote access through the gateways so customers can manage any of the IOT devices attached to their network. This is a fundamental failure on T-mobile's design and network design for both business and residential internet services. Once a replacement device shows up, no power cords, no ethernet cords, the device shows up dirty with food, fingerprints, and other unsanitary residue on it that makes me question if the last person used it as toilet paper before putting it in the box. The SIM cardhasto be switched from the old device, no problem. Yet there is no straightforward way outside of sitting on hold for hours to get someone in the technical services group that later hangs up on you hours into your call to get the IMEI number updated in connect.inseego.com. If you are looking for 5G internet service that is decently fastand you will never need to access any of your devices from a remote location, decent service. If you need to access your devices from remote locations, don't use T-mobile. This decades long availability to remotely access computers, servers, alarm systems, storage systems, camera systems, and other devicesis apparently an elusive realm forT-mobile to grasp which makes me wonder how their own IT staff interacts with their network.121Visto0likes1ComentarioCan't connect to work VPN using Sagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway
We got theSagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway model for Home Internet, however, we can't connect to the work VPN. We called customer support twice and their responses were that "we don't provide any support to VPN". The IT support of my company asked us to inquire about some settings and configurations to T mobile support and the response was that "this is a plug and use device. All you can see is the information on Home Internet App. We don't know more than you do." After some research on the community, it looks that some Firmware versions were released to specifically address the VPN issues, but it was for the Nokia gateway not the Sagemcom gateway,https://www.t-mobile.com/support/home-internet/nokia-gatewayWe wonder if T mobile can release similar Firmware updates to the Sagemcom gateway to address the VPN issue ASAP, such as, Resolves VPN tunnel protocols IKEv2/L2TP/IPSec Improves known issues: Cisco AnyConnect VPN; GlobalProtect VPN connection issues; Degraded experience2KViews5likes9ComentariosArcadyan vs. Sagemcom -- which is better?
I have the option of exchanging my Aradyan gateway for a Sagemcom. Which is a better gateway for the home internet? I was given this opportunity when this past weekend, we suddenly started having very bad speeds (although this for now seems to have resolved and is somewhat back to normal or at least back to an acceptable level).1.4KViews0likes6Comentarios30 seconds to connect new clients to internet
When a new client connects to my Sagemcom 5688W gateway (i.e. to the wifi SSID broadcast by the gateway), it takes up to 30 seconds for the client to connect to the internet. During this ~30 second timeframe, the newly connected client gets DHCP and it can ping the gateway, but it cannot connect to the internet. This happens on all clients regardless of the client OS. This makes it impossible for some clients to connect to my wifi SSID (specifically, neither of my printers will connect because they time out before the gateway allows them to connect after 30 seconds, so I have to print like a caveman via USB). I tried factory resetting my gateway, no change. I called T-Mobile support, they sent me a replacement gateway, it has the same problems. In my home, I have a full 5g T-Mobile signal, no obstructions around the gateway, and no wifi interference (I have confirmed this with advanced wifi testing tools on Linux, and an Aruba UXI sensor). Does your gateway have the same problem?128Visto0likes2ComentariosSagemcom gateway update August 2023
It seems there is some good news in the pipeline, according to the following story. In essence, T-Mobile home internet will be releasing two revised gateways, but the one to watch is the Sagemcom TMO4GSE. If you are like many of usand you need a little better signal, you used one of the numerous tutorials on how to open-up the gateway and add 2-4 SMA external antenna connectors to connect to a Waveform external antenna. The new Sagemcom gateway will reportedly have four (4) external SMA antenna connectors built into the gateway!! This will be a game-changer for many who are apprehensive about opening up the gateway to attach the required connectors. Question - when the revised Sagemcom TMO4GSE is released, will you ask to exchange your current gateway? https://tmo.report/2023/06/t-mobile-has-two-new-home-internet-gateways-in-the-pipeline-heres-what-we-know/ https://www.waveform.com/a/b/guides/hotspots/t-mobile-5g-gateway-sagemcom773Visto0likes1ComentarioSagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway keeps turning off and on again
Hi! I need some help because mySagemcom Fast 5688W Gateway keeps turning off and on again. When it's on, it works just fine, but then my device disconnects and when I look over to my modem it's rebooting for no reason. It's happening at different times throughout the day so it's not due to the nighttime updates. I changed which outlet it was plugged into thinking maybe there was a short, but it's still doing it. Really frustrated because if it wasn't for the modem rebooting randomly throughout the day, I would have no complaints.Solved1.3KViews2likes5ComentariosI want to replace the home internet gateway
I've had T-Mobile home internet a few months. I was told service in my area was iffy butdecided to take the risk. They were upgrading the tower near me. That caused outages but I hung in there. The Sagemcom gateway was frequently going into standby mode, too. It would show connected to the tower but not provide internet to connected Wi-Fi devices though devices could talk to each other through the local network. After a time the gateway became more reliable only requiring a reboot every couple of days. There wasa two month window with good internet. Then the gateway starting going into standby again and T-Mobile replaced it with theArcadyan. TheArcadyan is extremely reliable but not nearly as fast. Unfortunately theArcadyan will not service a great number of Wi-Fi connections. I have ten Google Nest Mini speakers and group play would not work with theArcadyan. I have many other devices, too. As a test I connected my 12 year old Buffalo router. It has 2.4 and 5 g bands. It services all the Wi-Fi connectionsjust fine. I sometimes haddevice connection issues with the Sagemcom, too. I guess the Sagemcom handled it better. Having hooked up the old router and seeing how it solved connection issues I know both the Sagemcom and Arcadyan have that problem. So I'm going to buy the latest technology Wi-Fi router and turn theWi-Fi radios off on theArcadyan. There's a script to do that. I can easily decide on a new router. While doing research I thought about replacing the T-Mobile supplied gateway, too. Since the Sagecom is faster than theArcadyan I am thinking there may be other brands that work with T-Mobile. Talking to T-Mobile they said I could try a Nokia for $35 fee. On Amazon I saw aYeacomm 5G Modem AX3600 and aNETGEAR Nighthawk M6 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Hotspot Router (MR6150). It says theNETGEAR Nighthawk is certified to work with T-Mobile. Home internet 5G is different from phone 5G and has a radio just for that on the tower, I was told. I am wondering if anyone has experience replacing their T-Mobile supplied gatewaySolved9.5KViews0likes3ComentariosAnyone have a Sagemcom Fast5688W and not having power cycling issues?
Is there anyone who has a Sagemcom Fast5688W who is NOT experiencing the dreaded powering up random reboot problem? I've already gone through (1) sagemcom replacement and the about to get my 2nd replacement and I'm just wondering how this is not a known issue given so many in the community are experiencing this. Some have said that swapping out with an Arcadyan model seems to have resolved the issue, but unfortunately it looks like they are out of stock of those. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel for those experiencing this issue?307Visto0likes3Comentarios
