12 TopicsAccount Security Concern — 355+ Open Ports Scanning “T-Mobile.com” — Severe Third-Party Control
My family and I have undergone a serious security breach from account opening in September 2023 to present. I have taken to network security websites and tools to try to determine the cause of the problem that is keeping persistentconnection from a third-party on my mobile lines Recently I did a Port Scan for the domain "T-Mobile.com" and found that there is at least355 open ports(and 10's of thousands of identified, closed, or blocked ports). This is very much out of the norm for any other domain I scan (having only 3-5 open ports). I am seeing Port 11 (sysstat - active users), 9040, 9050 and 9051 open for tor transport, 12345 and 12346 for backdoor Trojans onto ourdevices, amongmany other seriously concerning ports Threat actors have enabled third-party licensure and tools for our accounts which forbid security and privacy. Every bill's text and call log activity is 90% unrecognizable activity. It is strongly believed my phone lines andall activity on them are being shared. When I go into the store, the IMEI numbers showing are not the ones belonging to my devices. There is also an unremovable "managed network" under settings and then Wi-Fi and then saved networks that has always been there and is there when I put my eSIMs or physical SIM cards on any device and goes away when I turn the eSIM off or take the card out. The account is sole-owner, and no credentials have been given out to anyone, ever It also sounds like, from what I heard in store, simply closing the account and creating a fresh one is not an easy process. We have changed numbers and transferred phone service providers two times already and I do not want to do it again if I don't have to. The crime has survived for almost two years now, and I believe my information and my family's information was leaked How do I stop this?I don't know how to close ports or reassign the IP address designated to t-mobile.com. I'm really not sure what to do, but would really appreciate the help Thanks!84Visto0likes1ComentarioPhone is intermittently switching to "Emergency Calls Only"
I had a Samsung Galaxy S20+. It had worked properly until a month or two ago, when I noticed the phone would intermittently leave the T-Mobile network and only allow Emergency Calls. I was unable to receive or make calls and texts during those periods, which could last for 20-30 minutes at a time. Since I was due for an upgrade, I assumed that switching to a new phone would resolve the issue. I got a Galaxy Z Flip5. I migrated my data over from the old phone using Smart Switch, and noticed that the problem was occurring on my new phone. So I backed up everything on Samsung Cloud, performed a factory reset on the new phone, and restored the data (minus the settings, since I thought there might be a rogue setting causing this). This did not resolve the issue. I did another factory reset and deleted the e-sim, in the event that something in the SIM card was causing the issue. I replaced it with a physical SIM. No change. After the last factory reset, I restored everything from Samsung Cloud and then reset the mobile network settings. No change. I verified that there were no system updates available. I disabled 2G on the phone, as the T-Mobile reps suggested there could be a conflict between 5G and 2G. No change. In the access point names, I've verified that the APN is correct (fast.t-mobile.com - I'm in the US). In the Network Operators section, it is set to Select Automatically. I turned that off and attempted to register on T-Mobile, which works. But after a while the phone goes back to only allowing emergency calls. This happens everywhere I go, so it doesn't appear to be signal issue. My wife is not experiencing this issue with her phone, so it appears to be restricted to my phone/account in some way. I'm at a loss as to how to proceed.1.1KViews0likes12ComentariosConnected No internet (downstream at WAP)
Every once in a while, we would see on our devices "connected, no internet" and a reboot would always correct it. That said, I have a shielded, buriedcable connected to the router that terminates to a TP Link that has always worked, with the only problem is getting the same error. But once again, at a Windows desktop that utilizes the TP Link WAP, the "connected, no internet" is observed. I have rebooted the router, the WAP, the desktop several times. All the while we do not see the error 'upstream'. TheWAP indicates everything is working (pwr, 2.4, 5) except for the internet. Any advice?38Visto0likes0ComentariosArcadyan Gateway
I had to replace my gateway 2 weeks ago because it die suddenly. It will not power up.T-Mobile sent a replacement in just a few days. It was awesome, I was extremely happy with T-Mobile (here, a customer for 19+ years). What a disappointment.I connected as usual on 22MAR, and by the 23rd, I experienced no connection. I called on the 24th and took 75 minutes with the rep to connect. I was told a work on the towers was the culprit. Connection was down again in less than an hour. After many unsuccessful attempts, I called back the 27MAR to see if anything could be done to resolve this problem. Again, it was almost an hour and had no success. The rep advised to see if during the next few days, the work with the towers was completed, and I will start enjoying the service as in the past. I am no IT or wireless expert, but I am assuming that my cellphone uses the same towers as the 5G Home. The cellphone connection at home is flawless. As of today, 30MAR24, at 11:56 PM, I am experiencing total loss of connection. If I am able to connect, it is short-lived. From connectionstatus of "Excellent" 5 Bars, it will be replaced by a all-grayed graphic with a connection error message. The Gateway had traveled every window in my apartment. It has been positioned along the exterior wall, inch by inch and even traveled to the balcony, and cruised the balcony edge, from one side to the other, and it had been suspended out in the air beyond the balcony perimeter more than 10 feet of distance. In all that effort, it proves to be apparently the only object unable to connect to any tower in the surrounding area. If this was not an issue with the previous gateway, then I must consider the new gateway as the culprit, and perhaps one must consider changing the equipment. The tower idea is not making sense. Does anyone had experienced this issue??? Does anyone know a work around?145Visto0likes2ComentariosIssues getting account set up
Okay so -- I signed up for a single line t-mobile essentials account almost 2 months ago now. I then made a t-mobile.com account. The account told me to enter my mobile number to link it -- which I didn't have yet, so I waited for my bill to arrive. When it did, I attempted to link my number, I get the error: "The phone number xxx-xxx-xxxxis already registered to anotherT-MobileID. Please try another phone number or click here." The click here link just logs me out. I've contacted chat support, and they told me to contact phone support. I've contacted phone support as well, and was told that a ticket would have to be filed, and that I'd be called back. I never was. I can't setup my account online to manage and pay my bill or anything else after almost 2 months and I have no idea what to do, and I'm really frustrated. ¿Tienes alguna idea?Solved1.1KViews0likes4ComentariosUnlocked phones will work overseas?
I am on a family plan where internet is free in 215 countries. I see a lot of brand new 5G phones on Ebay that are either unlocked or on Simple Mobile or Mint or Metro mobile which all use Tmobile network. Does that mean they will work overseas my with Tmobile plan? What determines workability on overseas with Tmobile plan? Is it the Tmobile software on the phone that makes it work overseas? (Some of these phones dont have TMobile software) Or is it bands/frequency of the phone? I read on other topics that FCC ID is needed to determine if it works on Tmobile? Can someone help?287Visto0likes3ComentariosCellSpot v1 Not Powering On
I've been using a CellSpot (model 9961 Home Cell V1) for a couple years without issue. The other day (5/1/23) I came home from work and noticed I had no cell service. I checked the CellSpot and all lights were off except Power which was solid orange. I checked the cables and everything was plugged in. I noticed the device was quite warm and thought maybe it overheated so I unplugged it and let it cool down. After it was cool, I plugged everything back in and only got the solid orange Power LED. I let it sit overnight, but was in the same state the next morning. Not hot, just orange Power LED. I checked the Tmobile webpage for the CellSpot (https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/4g-lte-cellspot-setup-and-help) and it does not list the solid orange Power LED in the "Light sequences for issues" section. I tried the Reset button on the back, but that also did nothing. I checked the ethernet connection by using the CellSpot cable plugged into my laptop and there is a solid network connection, so it's not an internet/connection issue. It just seems to not be sending power, I guess? Are there any other troubleshooting steps I missed? Is there a better/V2 option I can get?99Visto0likes0ComentariosNew Phone not Connecting to T-mobile Network
Hello, I bought a new phone, the Kyocera 702KC. It is fully unlocked and when I popped my SIM in, it gave me a bar and I attempted to make a call, in the middle of the ringing, I got disconnected and can not join T-mobile again. I was told to set-up APN, but I do not know what to type in. When I go to network setting, and click on T-mobile, it says "can't connect to this network right now, try again later"Solved1.9KViews1like13Comentarios
