Re: Wifi extenders
I'm currently using 3TP-Link Deco M9 Plus mesh routers connected to my T-Mobile 5G gateway. They used to be connected to a cable modem when I got internet via cable. I just unplugged the main router from the cable modem and plugged it into the gateway, rebooted it, and everything connected as before with minimal effort. With about 30 devices on my network, it was a relief to not have to reconnect each one to a new WI-Fi host.11Visto2likes0ComentariosMesh Wi-Fi 6 System
On the new grey 5G home internet box, when you connect to its web page (typicallyhttp://192.168.12.1/), on the Overview screen, under the Devices panel, one of the items listed is "Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System", just above "Wireless" and "Ethenet". This implies a third way of networking devices (it currently says 0 connected). I have a DecoWi-Fi 6 mesh router and was wondering if they could be interconnected by something other than an ethnet cable. Is this something that is currently implemented or is it just a planned feature for a future expansion? On their product page (https://www.t-mobile.com/isp/gateway) where it lists device features, it also says "Mesh expandable Yes", but I haven't found any details about this in the documentation.35KViews16likes59ComentariosRe: home internet not showing on tv
I have a TCL Roku TV and it has no problem seeing the T-Moble Wi-Fi. I have a large number of devices on my home network, so I already had a Deco mesh network set up before I set up theT-Moble service this week. I just unplugged my Deco from my old cable modem and plugged it into one of the two LAN ports and everything connects without having to select the new Wi-Fi. If you have a router or AP, try plugging its ethernet port into the device and see if you can use your Roku that way. If youe TV has an ethernet connection, you could also try running a long cable from the TV to the device to connect it directly.10Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: T-Mobile Home Internet + Google Nest WiFi
I have aTP-Link Deco M9 Plus mesh router system that used to be connected to a cable modem for internet service. After setting up the T-Moble home internet device and making sure that it was working properly, I just unplugged my Deco from the cable modem and plugged it into one of the two LAN ports and after rebooting the Deco, everything worked fine. All the 30+ devices already signed into the Deco Wi-Fi continue to work normally. I have my gaming laptop signed into theT-Moble Wi-Fi directly to minimize lag. Doing a speed test on my laptop, I was very pleased to get a download speed of up to 200!27Visto1like0Comentarios
