Plex Remote Access Unavailable.
I have the T-Mobile router connected to Google Wifi. Obviously double NAT. I get this in Plex settings: Not available outside your network Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network.Learn moreTip:It looks like your server may be connected to the internet through multiple routers or other network devices. Try connecting it directly to your primary device, or visit our support site for more information about troubleshooting this "Double-NAT" scenario. I know there is no bridge mode. I'm thinking some kind of port forward may work but that's not even available. Anyone found a way around this? Gotta have my Plex.5.5KViews8likes20ComentariosRe: When can I JUST use TM internet modem as ONLY a modem, in BRIDGE mode, with NO NAT, NO firewall, and frankly NO Wifi.
Bridge mode, double NAT and all the rest has been talked about her ad nauseum. We all know it sucks and T-Mobile is fully aware of our frustration. Just about every week a new user comes here to complain. The can is dumbed-down for sure. Designed for the non-technical plug and play. For me it's an irritant but not worth staying with Spectrum. Not even close. Theirconstant price increases are offensive. Would never consider going back to that company. For $50 a monthI get great speed, better than Spectrum was and reliable service. I'm in Dallas so I'm sure that helps. I've found workarounds for theport forwardingand the rest. Hopefully these limitations are temporary.8Visto7likes0ComentariosDaily Home Internet drops are becoming unsustainable
I've had home internet for a while and it's worked fine despite the dumbed down can. Within the past month or so my Internet is dropping every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. I work remote and this is affecting my job. Not even the cable companies dropped service as often asT-Mobile. I've read multiple posts about this andso far no solutions. Anyone try Verizon Internet, thoughts? I simply cannot continue like this. It's unsustainable.259Visto2likes2ComentariosRe: 5G Home internet keeps dropping!
What I've learned through this is T-Mobile has signed on more people than the towers can handle. As such, there are drops. At this time, there is nothing the support dept. can do except continue to regurgitate the generic script, i.e. working on towers, replace router etc. Until they expand their systems, drops will continue.5Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: why TMobile home internet so bad
Have had home Internetfor over a year. On my 3rd hotspot (useless router.) My problem is the constant outages. Every single day it goes down. I work remote and this is unacceptable. They say 'cheap is sometimes expensive.' Couldn't be more true with T-Mobile home Internet. Am now exploring other companys. I know it's going to cost more but I'll gladly pay it to get out of this amateur joke of a service.5Visto1like0ComentariosRe: NAT/forwarding issues while gaming/streaming
T-Mobile has been 'fixing' the issue in 48 hours for at the past year. Most likely just to get people off the phone. Not sure what they did to fix your issue but if they can open ports then why isn't an option to do it manually and why isn't it being done on the Nokia. My guess is they allowed a static route to Xbox servers which would bounce back to your Xbox.17Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Google Nest Wifi vs. Google Wifi (with TMo Gateway)
I get about 325mbps down with the can alone. Adding two gen 2 google (1 router at can, 1 point around house) and three gen 1 google (points throughout house), speed dropped to a max of 125mbps down. When I originally replaced my two gen 1 googles with gen 2 I noticed a speed increase. I recently changed out all of my gen 1s to gen 2s. No change at all in speed. Bottom line for me. Google mesh reduces speed by 40%.9Visto1like0ComentariosRe: NAT (Forwarding) in T-Mobile Gateway
The port forwarding is a huge issue around here. Others have said it involves IPv6 and so forwarding can't be done. They can explain why. Some suggestions have been VPN, ZeroTier or Tailscale. I've seen PFSense mentioned here too but can't figure out how a firewall downstream from the can can port forward.39Visto1like0Comentarios
