Re: No 2.4 Ghz internet showing up with new T-Mobile internet
Which gateway did they give you? You should be able to change the settings using the mobile app. Network Settings » Advanced settings »frequency band »automatic. You can also change it to force 2.4 if you have to. 5.0 does not cover as far as 2.4.15Visto1like0ComentariosRe: can anyone help me get better upload speed
Welcome to TMHI. If you chose to get the TMHI royal run around keep calling them. Their CSRs are in thePhilippines, their 2nd level techs are also in the Philippines. Their "Big Book of Answers" tells the CSR to claim to be your new best friend and they are going to fix everything and make your day wonderful. Lie #1, they have no ability to fix anything besides forward you to a Philippines based tech support. Lie #2, your new best friend tech can't access anything or fix anything. Their Big Book says to tell the poor smuck (us) that they have either forwarded your problem to a USA based tech or the catch all lie of "the tower is under maintenance or upgrade. If you go with the tower maintenance lie you will find that every single one of TMHI towers is either under maintenance or upgrade, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Every single tower on Earth. Only after you realize you have been duped and lied too, do you then track down a USA Tech in Albuquerque and find out what the truth really is with your issues. And come up with a plan to fix it or find another Internet provider. If you actually got what you're paying them for, you wouldn't be trying to get help. You would be gaming right now! ¡Buena suerte!8Visto1like0ComentariosRe: remove ATT router
Can only guess there is something strange in the cache maybe on the T-Mobile Gateway? Unplug it for 5-10 minutes and see if that clears it out. If not do a factory reset, that will take it back to the state it was in when it came out of the box. As mentioned above, why do you have an AT&T modem or gateway even plugged in? Is it a switch or router maybe? Need more details to figure it out.5Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Cannot get correct location from tower
Kind of like let the fun begin. For weeks T-Mobile Internet said I was in Puerto Rico (I'm near San Diego). Then they had me in mainland China. Figure that one out? So my browser brought up results in Spanish and Chinese etc…I changed my VPN to only use Los Angeles based virtual VPN Servers like USA Fast Line. Now web, email, everything at least thinks I'm at least in Los Angeles, USA! T-Mobile has some serious issues with their Internet service, the price is right so I just roll with it.😞12Visto1like0ComentariosRe: $200.00 gift card
And get $200 back when you switch toT-MobileHome Internet via virtual Prepaid Mastercard® in 12 weeks. See below for full terms.Spots are limited in your area. https://promotions.t-mobile.com/ Of course they could not find my original request from four months ago. So the CSR said to resubmit a new one. I got another tracking ID. I'll hold off judgement till I see if they can't locate this request again…74Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: ITS TIME TO SUE T-MOBILE BAD INTERNET SERVICE
When you file your suit, don't doit in all CAPS. People, even attorneys don't like being yelled at. Come back an let us know how much you won. Most class actions result in attorneys making millions. You will get a gift card to Starbucks.🙃4Visto1like0ComentariosRe: t-mobile Home Internet - Location Issue
Same issues as above. VPN's can be tricky and troublesome, but for the 95% of the time it works for me I can live with that. T-Mobile Home Internet has had me show up in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and even China. So, you can imagine what comes back on web pages I was using. I am north of San Diego. My solution was to fire up the VPN and set it to only use a Los Angeles based server for an IP address. Thinking about using one of my Asus routers and setting up the VPN on it, so all the stuff using the wi-fi will use that LA based VPN server for a WAN IP address, it would hand out the LAN IP's. Speeds will slow down, higher latency and longer pings. Just not sure if the slower speeds are worth the trade off for sites and services not liking the VPN? Google results is one that gives a failed connection results when using my VPN. If I could count on T-Mobile for decent Home Internet, it would not be an issue to use a slower VPN through a router to handle DNS and obtaining local IP addresses. Without the L.A. VPN getting results in Spanish is a pain, my Spanish is very limited T-Mobile and images don't translate!3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: IP Location issue

Just a thought as I have seen it before. Do you have a surge protector on your modem? (if not, get one) Anything else on that power plug? At 9:00am do you have a pool pump turn on? Maybe a heater on a timer? Anything that might cause a surge, spike or drop in current? It's a web interface bug, but T-Mobile really has no clue how to solve it. It seems to be attached to their firm wear updates. They will blame it on a"Network issue or outage" among other things. Some excuses could be spot on, others made up to get us off the phone. One CSR suggested it it is the internal power supply of the modem itself. Which would call for it getting swapped out at the T-Moble Store. Hope you can sort it out.20Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Individual Device Data Useage
My data usage showed terabytesbeing used in our first couple months with this crappy Home Internet service. Called a USA based English speaking tech in Albuquerque to see what was up with the .4mbps speeds racking up terabytes of data usage? He said the service was new to our area and I was probably getting tagged with all the data traffic since I was first? Well, at least it was an original answer not pulled from a manual in the Philippines. Standard answer on the speeds, go trade in the modem on a new one…😞4Visto0likes0Comentarios
