Re: Does T-Mobile CellSpot work with Mint Mobile?
While you can purchase a used T-Mobile cell spot online from places such as eBay, there is no guarantee you can activate it. T-Mobile is the only company who can activate one and, unless you or someone you know is a specific T-Mobile customer, I am not sure whether T-Mobile would activate it for you. That being said, if you get one that is already activated, it should work for you. However, there is no guarantee it will continue to work indefinitely. Should the party selling it disconnect their service with T-Mobile, it might get deactivated somewhere down the line.23Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Cell Booster Issues
If I get what you're saying, it is that you're trying to use an ATT Micro cell connected via an Ethernet cable to your TMo WiFi router that is powered by the TMobile cellular network. If this is the case, it would seem that either TMo is blocking something that is preventing the ATT microcell from tunneling into its network or the Microcell is unable to establish a reliable connection to its servers for reaons of latency or inadequate speeds. I haven't heard of anyone else attempting such a maneuver, but here are a few things to check. 1. Make sure the TMo hotspot and the ATT Microcell are at least 6 feet from each other. Since they are both cellular devices, I'd probably try and keep them in different rooms. 2. Make sure the ATT Microcell can get a good GPS signal. Try placing it in the same exact location you had it when it worked with StarLink. 3. Try a different Ethernet port on the TMo router. 4. Try a different Ethernet cable.14Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Is my neighbor's 4G LTE Cellspot degrading my service?
I can assure you, the Signal booster is NOT a Device that requires internet. I have deployed many of these units with good results. However, a note to this would be that if you put the receiver where it can pick up their Cell spot, it will just repeat it's signal, which defeats the purpose. It may not be possible to get it to connect to the tower.14Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 'E' instead of 5G or LTE
I've seen this happen on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (with either psim or esim card). Indeed they removed the pSIM and programmed the eSIM to try and resolve the "E" issue. It didn't help. E stands for "Edge." What is happening is that the signal for LTE/5G gets lost and the phone backs down to Edge service to get a signal, But, once that happens, the phone does not try to switch back to LTE/5G until it completely loses the Edge signal. Airplane mode toggle might fix this or it might not, however a reboot SHOULD fix this issue. Once the Edge network is properly and completely decommissioned, this should no longer pose a problem, but it is still active in some areas. The reason you're not getting any data is because the Edge system is super, super slow data. Today your phone uses so much data, Edge gets overwhelmed to the point your phone won't function on it. Only legacy devices will.35Visto1like0ComentariosRe: How long will the tower "maintenance" take?
fireguy_6364 wrote: it will all depend on how quickly they can get the parts they are needing. if they are doing a full upgrade and are lacking some parts it can take a pretty decent amount of time. parts delays and back orders are still a pretty big deal The backlog on commercial radio equipment is worse now than ever. Some parts are back-ordered for a year. This is all radio manufacturers, not just affecting T-Mobile.16Visto1like0ComentariosRe: At my witts end.
Go into Settings → Celular → Network Selection. Make sure this is set to Auto. Go into Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Options. Make sure "Low data mode" is off and "Data Roaming" is off. Reboot/Restart your phone. Go into Settings->General->Software Update. Make sure your iPhone has at least iOS 16.5 update on it, if not, install it over WiFi.4Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Is my neighbor's 4G LTE Cellspot degrading my service?

Unfortunately, I think LegacyUser's issue IS with the ISP in the building, so WiFi wouldn't be any better. @LegacyUser-- Have you looked at getting a T-Mo Personal Booster? They sell for about $30 on ebay. These things are great if you set them up correctly. I would suggest that you put one in a window with the strongest T-Mo signal (even if outside your apartment, like in the hallway, to avoid repeating your neighbor's CellSpot signal) and put the repeater box inside your apartment somewhere where it gets at least a "6" rating. For $30, it's worth a shot. https://www.ebay.com/itm/165387481259?epid=2310540563&hash=item2681dcb0ab:g:RQgAAOSwDthiKk7G&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8MsyBCtVVjQCLVyp1nQXDX%2FSQW1AmQgaEYy1fwMBCaidhETjq3uPULl3pCpRlgGmLM7gkQvoi3PJP5xBjAMQVrQcjODD7RhBue0RuFO%2B%2BgbJj3lxWrgWhe2kqCZQm6258wsJJsCnG13Qg1%2FgV6X3PDVRd8xYiTM3zD7iKR0GKIE63lNC3ys49QHD0%2FthijbbX51mSmdt%2BgfikgvgAhTIuWon%2FWbN35DkLtQuBrFTPsHUlljg%2FUw5NlpFqyzNSMYhYytA7u8j5SOizvdMF0ieM5S%2BIUEWbQrA1IH1sejEutC6a1fqOzlJb32GZ7xX8ErNYw%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8DtsM6YYg8Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 3G/4G light on Cellspot
Same issue here. Note, though, 3G/4G much slower than the LTE. I'm guessing that -Mobile is phasing it out and that may be why it has stopped functioning. Can anyone at Tmo confirm or deny? Hopefully, if they disable this, they will be able to make it handle more LTE connections.12Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Is the problem my old or t-mobile network?
Anywhere in the red circled area is crap right now, and has been since the derecho. You get signal but very slow to nonexistent data, but text and calls can go through. The blue area terrain blocks the signal from the cell towers to the East. Even Verizon has issues going W on Highway 6.7Visto0likes0Comentarios
