cell spot failure
Just went through Hurricane Ian. Power back after 5 days, however, Xfinity is still down. Since cell spot is dependent on cable modem, no service. Don't set yourself up for thinking you will have phone service after a horrific experience. No mobile towers set up in the area even though Ian sat on top of us for 7 hours. Used Publix grocery store to post this. Now headed back home to no service. No updates from insurance or FEMA. When you are alone and elderly it is awful to have no communication with family and friends, no way to get to internet. Other Tmobile customers have some service, if you have cell spot, nothing. It would have been the right thing to do when transferred from Sprint to tell customers the local towers will be under modification until Spring of next year rather than slapping a bandaid on the problem. This is beyond unforgivable.117Visto0likes5ComentariosHurricane Ian Coverage
For over 3 months I had little or no service. Over 52 phone calls, change settings, put them back, phone not compatible, phone compatible, no one was able to help and really weren't very concerned. Then I was made aware of the "black box" and service has been much better. Now that we are in the cone and waiting to see where Ian hits, I am getting nervous. Am I correct that if we lose power, and the black box is not operating, I will again not have service? I am completely alone and need to know. I was told that our towers were being "modified and updated" and this will continue into the Spring of next year (by corporate), that would have been great information to give to customers prior to taking their money. Thank you for any information for this old lady.444Visto0likes1ComentarioRe: 20 years and leaving
I couldn't agree more. After over 50 phone calls since May 31st, I'm done. Calls going straight to voice mail, phone not ringing and nothing in voice mail even though I get a notification is ridiculous. It is screwing with my health. Lost my food stamps for 2 months because I didn't show up for an appointment I didn't know I had (they left message I never received), I lost my place in line for a stem cell treatment trial after waiting for 6 months. Like you, these are not small things. Last night after 2 hours and 10 minutes with 3 "specialists" they wanted my credit card number for a deposit on a device which would boost coverage. That should have been sent free of charge months ago. I really don't think Tmobile even reads these posts. At 67, I have had a cell phone all of my adult life and have never been treated with such disregard. I cringe every time one of their commercials comes on, all lies. Never had a problem with Sprint and the minute they put the sim card in my phone I have had trouble. The police have been to my home 3 times for "well checks" because my doctor and friends couldn't get a hold of me. Tomorrow will be my last day with them and I am leaving a $100 dollar credit behind, it means nothing. Good luck to you and shame on Tmobile.4Visto1like0ComentariosWhy not just tell people the truth?
How the hell are you people getting away with deceptive service? I never had a problem with Sprint. The very day the store rep switched out my sim card at the end of May I have had nothing trouble. He lied right off the bat. Said I wouldn't get another charge from Sprint, I did, plus the charge from Tmobile. Said I would have coverage in Alaska, another lie. I have had months worth of calls going straight to voice mail, never ringing. I, literally have my phone in my hand and the voice mail notification pops up at the top of my phone. No less than 50 calls to 611 and no one has the same fix. Let's change the settings, no the settings are fine, we are having problems with the tower, no problems withthe tower. I will overnight a new sims card to you and will call you tomorrow at 5. Not overnighted and no phone call. Yes your phone is compatible, let's change the settings. New plot twist, I have the POLICE knocking on my door to do a welfare check. I have cancer and not well and my friends, family and doctors cannot get through. Say they are going straight to voice mail and I never get an effing voice mail. Call again, oops, calls not being forwarded on Tmobile's end. Thought that was fixed until the police came again today. Even they said I need to find another provider. Called again, let me see if my supervisor will let me send a coverage device. After 37 minutes, yes we can send you a coverage device, I need your credit card number, it is $25. Are you kidding me? I have had a cell phone since when bag phones first came out and I have never been lied to so many times, never had worse coverage or service. I'm not paying a penny for a coverage device. another lie from store rep, 2 miles away from my home who said you had the greatest coverage. I cringe every time one of your commercials come on, all lies. This is a huge dangerous problem and you are screwing with my health.350Visto3likes1ComentarioHelp! Phone not ringing, calls directly to voice mail
I researched the "related topics" and thought, great I'm not alone then noticed that the complaints were from 4 years ago!!! I switched from Sprint to Tmobile the end of May. Was told I would have coverage in Alaska. NOPE. Hell, the service in Phoenix and Seattle was sketchy. I cringe every time I see a Tmobile commercial touting their incredible coverage. Okay, back home in Florida. I get notifications of a voice mail received and the phone doesn't even ring, while I'm holding it. I waited weekfor return calls from the IRS, food stamps and daily calls from my oncologist's office. Guess where they all went. Do you know how difficult it is to get a return call from the IRS agent you are working with or the food stamps office which has awarded me $20 per month due to failure to make an appointment which were 2 of the calls which went straight to voice mail. Seriously, these are not people who answer when you call them back, you go right back into a call queue and wait another 2 to 3 weeks. Totally unacceptable. So, I call 611 and vent. We don't have service in Alaska, why weren't you on international roaming, geez, I don't know, maybe because it wasn't offered by the liar in the store (who also told me I wouldn't get another bill from Sprint, but did automatically deduct from my account along with the new Tmobile charge. Then explained the last 3 weeks of no ring, just message to the person I could barely understand. I was transferred to my "team" in Tampa, fantastic now we are getting somewhere. My "tower" is being updated. So what, not my problem, wait yes it is. Let's change some settings, none changed, they were all correct. Let me overnight a new sims card to you and I will call you tomorrow at 5 to walk you through so you won't lose so many contacts as you did with the "in store guy (liar). No call, this was last Thursday and I have been too sick to deal with this. However, late last night, no ring from my dear friend whose son had just passed. And, today, oncologist straight to voice mail. Called back, apologized and awaiting another call back. Biggest problem is the fact that I don't know they are even calling until a voice mail notification at the top of my screen. Doesn't even show up in my call log. Never hadthese problems with Sprint, not until I was rolled over into the company with the "greatest coverage". Any suggestions before I switch to a service that actually works.
