34000 Sagemcom Fast 5688W gateways Bricked
Due to a major snafu, a firmware update managed to bricked 34000Sagemcomgateways. Since the gateways are bricked and no longer able to access internet, the fix can't be done over the air. You will have to call T-Mobile to arrange an exchange. https://www.tmonews.com/2023/02/modem-update-bricks-more-than-30k-t-mobile-home-internet-devices/?amp=1377Visto5likes1ComentarioTime to say good-bye to T-Mobile Internet
After 5months of subscription, I have no option but to say good-bye to T-Mobile Internet. I have substantial investments in the service, both in time and money with high hope that it would work for me. I bought a Waveform 4x4 antenna that gave me a pretty solid performance until 3 weeks ago when things started to fall apart. It began with speed reduction. I used to get 150mbps up and 25mbps down but it was reduced to 50% or less. If it had been just slower, I would have tried to do something more, such as moving the antenna to get better reception or just lived with it. But it also started to have random disconnects, particularly during the day. I downloaded a network monitoring tool to see how bad the situation is. Yesterday afternoon between 3-4pm, it has 5disconnects, lasting from 30 secondsto 5 minutes. I am using a VPN to log into my comany's network to do work. Any interruption of the network, no matter how short the inverval is will result in a reset of the connection. Therefore, 5 interruptions in an hour is totally unacceptable. I brought the data and charts to a T-Mobile store asking for help. Unfortunately, they had neither the tool nor the knowledge to offer any assistance. I didn't bother to call tech support because in my previous experiences, they were pure waste of time. The store did offer to replace the gateway. But I know that it is not a hardware problem as it performs just fine in the nights that I observed. Why am I hopeless aobut the situation? Because I believe that T-Mobile is oversubscribing the network capacity to support their marketing campaign. When the 5G network reaches certain load thresholds, it will start throttling, then dropping data based on the priority of the service. T-Mobile internet is at the bottom of the priority. Therefore, there is no hope for any improvement in the foreseeable future. So I am planning to get back to comcast, and maybe taking my cell phone service along. I think that T-Mobile internet was a good product, until they totally fail to manage it properly. Sadly it leaves a very bad taste for me in T-Moble in general.302Visto5likes1ComentarioRe: Any cell routers with external antennas?
I have a KVD21 with firmware 1.00.18. In the first week I got it, the performance is extremely inconsistent. I sometimes got single digit up and down, but also triple digit down and single digit up in a good day. It wasvery random but generally very bad during the day, better later in the night. It was unacceptable. Then I bought a Waveform 4x4 panel antenna. Since then, the performance has stablized. I generally get at least 100 down and 20 up during the day and 180 down and 30 up during the evening. The ping numbers are also greatly improved, always sub 20 ms without load and 300ish ms under load. I am not even putting the antenna outdoors. I put it right on the desk, next to KVD21, facing the direction of the tower through a glass window. The tower is about 1 miles away without line of sight. I also tested the antenna outside. I could get 400 mbps. But the trouble to install the antenna outside is way too much for me. The performance has been rock solid for two weeks.2Visto2likes0ComentariosRe: Wfi Sucks

If it is a Wifi issue, you can get a better Wifi router or a Wifi mesh system to improve your home wifi connectivity. If your problem is weak 5G or LTE signals (slow speed, broken internet connection), you can add an external MIMO antenna to the T-Mobile gateway. There are youtube videos showing you how it can be done. (Hint: Waveform 4x4 MIMO antenna). I did mention it is my home internet service and I mentioned connecting the printer via the WiFi meaningthe WiFi from the home internet service. The issues are my devices loose WiFi connection to my home internet service all the time and I can not connect my printer tothe home internet via the WiFi. I hope that made it clearer. If I am not mistaken, your pritner is only used within your local area network, not by anyone from outside of your home. In this case, it is a wifi issue. Did you try to set up your wifi network to use WPA2/WPA instead of the default WPA3/WPA2? Older devices are not compatible with WPA3 and WPA2. If your printer is a 2.4GHz only device, you may also want to separate 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wifi netoworks with different SSIDs. Hope that these two stepswill help you to resolve your printer connectivity problem.3Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Wfi Sucks

I suggest that you get a real router between the T-Mobile gateway and your devices. Although T-Mobile gateway has some primitive router functions, it is far from being adequate for anyone who doesn't just plug and play. Lack of configuration forDNS server is a prime example.195Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Five9
Audio signal does not need a large bandwidth, but is delay and jitter sensitive. You may need to monitor your network characteristics over days to identify and problem and possible causes. There are software available to do this, most of them offer free trial (https://www.comparitech.com/net-admin/network-latency-testing-tools/). One obvious possible cause of your problem is that your internet connection is shared with other people who are sending/receiving large bursts of data while you are on the phone. You may want to make sure that it doesn't happen first.6Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Home internet service really sucks lately
