Re: Not receiving SMS from international numbers

I wonder what was implemented and never disclosed to the customers. 😁 There are so many elements to this that would be funny if not completely frustrating. For example, I did get many calls from some executive team, and it seemed like they had no access to the previous tickets. In one call she kept asking me what is that "Cosmote" carrier in Greece I was texting to. So I had to educate her that it is yet another Deutsche Telecom subsidiary, same as T-Mobile.🙄 https://www.cosmote.gr/cs/otegroup/en/omilos_ote.html But of course, that did not lessen the impossibility of sending and receiving an sms from one subsidiary to the other...12Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Not receiving SMS from international numbers

Hopefully they can find a resolution or at least look further into things for you. Sadly, six tickets later, four of them with twitter, have yielded no results.21Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Not receiving SMS from international numbers

Maybe T-Mobile will one day decide to have its engineers actually work on it. Mentioning Greece specifically does help narrow things down a lot. I don't know anyone in Greece to test whether or not texting works. Correct number formatting when calling and texting is very important in both directions. Have you tried reaching out to Customer Care to make sure there isn't a block on international calls and texts on your line? Six tickets over two weeks, with zero result. Hence I even reached out to the community here on a different post if anyone knew of any way to escalate this (they told me they never do--they only look at the customer line only)11Visto1like0ComentariosRe: International SMS to Greece not working

That's what I wanted to check. 697's been a COSMOTE prefix for at least 20 years. I've got no explanation for this. Yeah, I have been texting to that number for years. Something changed in the message relay path in December, but T-Mobile has been unable to fix it (or been willing to). Incidentally, I do not get incoming messages from that country from other carriers also. I wonder if that is the kind of thing they may eventually fix on their own. Then again, it has been almost 5 months...3Visto1like0ComentariosT-mobile unable to fix SMS problems with Greece
Here is an update on the previous thread of being able to receive SMS from any Greek carrier.I literally had 12 tickets opened with Tforce on twitter and 611. They promised they would escalate it. They never did. First, they said it was the sender. I gave them multiple numbers with the problem. I told them that when I switch the network from automatic to AT&T, even on wifi, messages did come through. When I told them more than one line had the problem, they asked for the second line. Their conclusion: it was the device. I used Verizon as a trial esim on my device and my friend used AT&T. No problem. And yet, T-mobile comes back with "ask the sender to check their network," "it's your device," and "line is provisioned correctly for SMS." I am horrified both at the bad customer service that refused to really escalate it to a level where it could be solved, and at myself for allowing this to happen when they kept running me around in circles.225Visto1like4Comentarios
