Is 4k streaming turned on by default? I have an Arcadyian KVD21 tmobile gateway box.

if if query my media settings for the gateway line it says - This line is not eligible for media settings.

SO…..does that mean it (4k) is turned on by default??

Thanks yall for the question.  You do get a notification saying "Thank you for purchasing a T-Mobile 4k UHD video".  I was wondering why it was going to charge me when I thought it was free.

Is this free on Magenta Max Plan?  don’t understand why you need to turn on if so.

 

4K is free, but because it uses so much data, T-Mobile’s default is a lower resolution to reduce data use, since most users don’t need or notice 4K.
