Dropped calls in my house
I have had a problem with calls dropping when I am at home. I live in Chicago, and my phone works fine everywhere but at home. I am talking fine, and then, the call goes dead. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes not. I thought it was my old S7 which was the problem, but I just got a new S10 and it is the exact same problem. I have tried wifi calling as well, and nothing seems to work. This is becoming a serious problem since I am now working from home. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I took a look through our No se puede llamar, llamadas interrumpidas y otros problemas de llamadas and you've done most of the troubleshooting. As long as you're on the latest software and the issue happens without a case, the next step is to contáctanos. An Expert will take a closer look, may have some additional troubleshooting to complete, and will get this escalated as needed.

read under my post. the grayed out part.
things they didnt mention when the merger happened was that some Sprint towers in areas would be removed and or no longer used because they overlapped TMOs towers to much..or they just no longer had access to said towers due to agreements with the tower owners...so could be your case..
every carriers forum will look just like this..its more rare for someone to take their time to come in here and give praise compared to those that have issues.. as an example..

So, you represent T-Mobile? Or do you just like harassing people? I have gotten the worst phone service I have ever experienced with T-Mobile. I've used several different carriers and I have never had so many dropped calls. It's difficult to find an affordable plan for one phone. I signed up with Sprint, not T-mobile. When they merged, they switched me to T-Mobile. When I experienced issues, I purchased a newer phone. It didnt help. I did my research and there are hundreds of complaints, but few answers. My problems began when they switched me over to T-Mobile, so it stands to reason that the issue is my carrier. I've been to the sites that offer 'fixes' (that's how I ended up here). I've chatted with tech support. I've even called T-Mobile. Of course it's difficult to get anywhere when it drops the call multiple times and each time you have to start over. I get the 'airplane mode' over and over. I can watch my phone go from full bars to zero. So, before you berate someone for complaining, understand that by the time we comment on a thread we've already jumped through multiple hoops to try to find a fix. You didn't help anyone by being hateful, especially not T-Mobile. You put the final nail in that coffin. BTW, there are 4 (four) related topics below that are all about dropped calls. Or, just Google T-Mobile and see how many hits contain the words 'dropped calls'. And, yes, people on other devices with other carriers work just fine. Now go bully someone else.

are there any other TMO phones in your home? and do they run into the same thing or no? if this happens “everywhere” in town then this is pointing more at your phone/account or sim card. if it were happening in one location specifically then that is network.
as for my response all i can say is choose your words wisely and expect to be called out on what is said..especially if its overly exaggerated. since your post there have been 3 other posts that were not me..in 2 months..and one of said 3 was you responding 2 months later. so i dont see people “leaving in droves” when there werent even enough posts in here to equal one post per month of this thread being alive in here for this subject.
you still didnt answer though. any other devices around you or no? that will point at network around you or your device/sim card.

@fireguy_6364 My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21. I purchased it from TMobile. The dropped calls happen everywhere and the airplane mode 'hack' doesn't help. It is so frustrating to continually drop calls. I know you are a moderator, but ease up already. By the time we find a forum, we are already upset. And SOME of the posts are 2 years old. Some are from last month. Some are from 2 days ago. All that tells me is that this is an ongoing issue that has not been resolved. T-mobile over sells their bandwidth like Windstream does. And both services suck.

My calls have been dropping lately, like back in the early 90s, and I have a 22ultra, never had this problem when Sprint was running the network

I'm new to T-Mobile and I'm already not a fan of calls being dropped when moving from wi-fi to cellular. I just switched over from Verizon where moving between wi-fi and cellular isn't an issue. I could be on a call, get in my truck and drive to away without losing the call.
I'm surprised that T-Mobile's service doesn't have as seamless of a transition. I was on the phone with T-Mobile this morning in my house and then all of a sudden they couldn't hear me becuase of this issue. In today's tecnilogical age I shouldn't have switch my wi-fi on and off in my home just to keep a call alive.
I thought you guys were supposed to be better.

I guess I can join the masses of T-Mobile customers who cannot make a call from their cell phone without the call dropping. EVERY SINGLE CALL in the last month or so drops. EVERY ONE. Like everyone else, I have spend my $$$ on everything possible to try to boost the signal and get my phone to work properly. Dude, people are going to leave in droves if you don't do something to fix it. This is infuriating.
Whoever is saying that it's our phones, it's our router, it's the location, etc. apparently has cell service that works. It was like one day they flipped a switch and my reception went to crap. It worked one day and then suddenly started dropping calls. ¿Qué cambió?
I just want my phone to work. I should not have to use wifi because the cellular doesn't work. Ayuda.
in droves? this thread is from 2 years ago with what? 13 different people posting in here? and at least 3 of them assist on the site..
is your problem everywhere you go or one specific location? are there other TMO phones around you when this is happening? and if so are they seeing the same thing or are their phones working fine? if this is at home or work is this while connected to wifi and wifi calling or just regular mobile? what phone is it?

I am having call failing issues for a year now and seems like no engineer for T-Mobile is able to fix it has anyone had same issue and gotten it resolved? I am trying this place before I switch providers. The last expert said "We can't do anything because they can't take the risk of the issue being fixed for one customer and impacting 400."
I am in Plano, Tx
