My phone does have VoLTE capabilities. It's a newer Samsung, just not 5G compatible. The sales rep was trying to make a sale at any cost, even if she had to lie in order to get me to upgrade immediately. I recently purchased the phone, so they're no longer making that lease money. I'm looking for a new carrier as soon as my other lease ends this month, because I haven't been happy with the switch from Sprint to T-Mobile.
