If I'm out of the US traveling and someone calls me and I don't answer the call will I be charged? If that person leaves a voicemail and I don't call to check my voicemail would I be charged?

Last thread is 4 years ago!

What is the current answer to the question? Please respond without tech jargon so I can go about doing whatever I need to do as a Magenta+ customer to avoid all calling charges while overseas, and still be able to use data and text.

  • If you don’t answer (as opposed to rejecting the call) you no deberían be charged. If you call to check your voicemail, you will be charged for the call. This is why you should check your messages via the Visual Voicemail app. Here are some international roaming hints.

    Very helpful tips!

  • im almost positive if your VM picks it up it counts as a call received.

@drnewcomb will have a better answer for this one.

What’s the correct dial code for configuring unconditional forwarding to T-Mobile’s voicemail?
Is it **21*+18056377249# or is it **21*+18056377243#? Do both work? Any difference?

From my understanding.  If the call reaches your device through a partners network, whether or not you answer it.  There could be a charge.
