NO GoGo Free Wifi, ViaSat ONLY

T-Mobile, Your Free WiFi on Delta Airlines No Longer works… ViaSat WiFi ONLY.

Please stop charging customers for the ONE Plus plan claiming unlimited GoGo WiFI… complete scam.

    NOT A SCAM.

T-Mobile offers free wifi on gogo equipped flights. This is not the same as free wifi on Delta.

Delta is shifting to Viasat which has a technically superior service over gogo, with the end goal being free wifi for everyone on all flights. Until the majority of their planes are equipped with viasat they will charge $5 per flight for access, to avoid an inconsistent experience for all Delta passengers. Delta has no obligation to TMobile users.

Nobody has broken a deal, as TMobile users, we still get free wifi on all gogo equipped flights.

  • Allegedly Gogo can be offered as a 2nd option on other flights and/or planes...

Just flew on DELTA in USA (Feb 2022) and it doesn't work.  Some flight have it while newer AirBus don't have FREE Wifi.  I am on the Max plan and feel like I am NOT getting my full value.

I had to pay $5 for the in-flight Wifi Access through ViaSat.  GoGo was the same $5.

It used to be integrated and easy Pre-Covid for Tmobile Members

  • Gogo is no longer available on American's larger planes so I certainly fee cheated.  However gogo is horrible service, so slow as to be almost useless for anything but texting.

GOGO is a land based system while VIASAT is satellite based.

American and Delta (maybe others) are retrofitting their aircraft with the satellite system (VIASAT).

It's only a matter of time before T-Mobile users won't enjoy the included WiFi on any of those two carriers.  Sad.

As a frequent flyer, the included WiFi was the only reason I chose T-Mobile.

Hoping something changes but I doubt it … business is business.

    T-Mobile great but I probably don’t need the 85$ plan anymore.  //
