When do plan changes take effect?

Hi all, simple question: Do plan changes take effect immediately, or do I need to wait until the current billing cycle is over? ¡Gracias!

    Plan changes take effect when the next billing cycle begins.

    From my understanding, plan changes take effect immediately and as a result, are prorated for any time between the change and your next billing cycle.
