Will my child or the caller know if I block a number from their phone?
Without making too many details…..My child is in communication with another, "cool" child, who is talking her into doing….less than savory or legal things. I know there's only so much I can do, but I'd like to block this other child's number using the Family Allowances, as I have very nearly had it at this point.
I'm afraid of there being a blow-up if she receives some kind of notification that a number has been blocked. I would rather she just not know, and for the person calling/texting to also not know. Even if it's only a temporary fix, allow them to think that one has ghosted the other.
If I block this number from this phone, is that it? I know it sounds silly, but I'm paranoid since I don't want any more of this drama. There's been enough of it already.

That wasn't my question. I've already changed it once. If you'd like to pay for it, let me know, since you seem to have greater awareness of the situation than I myself do.
I don't understand how someone could look at this and think now's a time to start an argument with a frustrated parent. I have to do everything that I possibly can. Either help, or leave this be.
I see no attitude. He is saying it wouldn't matter if you blocked it. It is obvious when a person is blocked. A block only works 1 way unless you block it using parental controls. IF that happens chances are they'll use a data specific application which would defeat the purpose unless you disable data at the account level. Even then you have to watch when he is on the computer as you can make and send messages through the internet without a phone these days as well.
