Wrong number used for account administration
I am the primary account holder. When I go to set up the included Apple TV + perk, the system sends a text to my child's phone, not mine. How can I change the number these administrative tasks contact to mine, the actual account holder?

It's a little bit of overkill but you can do a change of responsibility and have your child relinquish ownership of the plan to you.

Or you can call support and hope you get a rep who can help.

Hey Gramps28, thanks for the reply. That might be an option, but I've since found out that the text messages he was supposed to get to administer the add-ons (Apple TV, Netflix, etc.) haven't even come through after this time either.
Definitely not something I can sort out by myself, which is what I hoped would be the case :(

Hey there @MrZoolook! It sounds like your situation doesn't need anything as drastic as a change of responsibility. It is good that you are set up as the primary account holder already. There is also a Primary Line Indicator that marks what phone number is the primary line. That indicator determines which phone number gets the account alerts and should be used for the connected services line the Apple TV. It may have accidentally been placed on your child's number instead of your own. It is a pretty quick fix, but it does have to be done by a customer support person. You can call 611 to get someone, but most people on the Community like to connect to our T-Force team by selecting one of the social media icons at the bottom of this website and sending a message there.
Hope this helps.
