Galaxy S24 keeps losing 5G

I live in Portland, Oregon. I'm using a carrier unlocked Samsung Galaxy S24 (SM-S921U1)  that I bought from Best Buy. My phone uses an eSIM. In my area Voice over 5G has not been enabled. Recently my phone has been having a strange issue. When it is idle it will use 5G standalone. As soon as I start doing anything that uses data such as using Google Maps or Android Auto, my phone will fall back to LTE. The UC next to the 5G icon disappears and my phone will say the connection to 5G NSA failed on the hidden phone information screen. Prior to May 2024 my phone had no issue connecting to 5G NSA. Does anyone know why my phone is suddenly falling back to LTE?
