no coverage on lake raystown

Sadly I had no phone service or internet service on Lake Raystown  in Huntingdon PA Only got SOS emergencies only available on my phone  This is dangerous since I need phone to communicate with others on 33 mile lake I was told before I changed to TMobile had 5 G here & good coverage Not true! Hope don't need it on jet skis or boat! Anybody else get coverage here?

  • Looking at Cellmapper.net, the big difference between the big 3:

T-Mobile doesn’t have a tower near Mill Creek (AT&T and Verizon have one), and a tower that Verizon has on Old Hawn Road

I have an iPhone SE  I just changed to T-Mobile since I was told coverage was great in Raystown area I used to be able to use my phone on lake with Cricket So disappointed since I visit this area throughout summer & fall

  • What phone do you have? Is it currently SIM locked? There may be a relatively low cost workaround.

Never been there.   I only mentioned TMobiles map.  closest ive been was Harrisburg.   Tmobile has a reputation of over stating coverage, especially in rural areas.  Ihave had escalations over 9 years for coverage that doesn't exist showing at 4g/5g.

Glad you had coverage at south end Unfortunately we put in at Snyders run which is at north end Generally only relax & water ski by the dam and sometimes go down to seven points rec area & back So no phone service 😔

Looking at T-Mobile’s coverage map … good luck.

    https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map

If you get any service .. it would be at the south end.  Many areas that T-Mobile shows coverage, typically does not have any, especially if it is anywhere near areas that show up as 'No Service'.
