why does t mobile suck

I've consistently been experiencing poor service with T-Mobile on Sacramento, CA and in Tucson, AZ. Both these areas have excellent access to towers but it doesn't matter because I still get messages 14 hrs after they were sent to me. I had an important business call scheduled for 8:00 am this morning. There is no record of incoming calls on my call log yet they left a v/m at 8:09 am. Wth, it's just completely unacceptable for the country's largest carrier to provide crummy service especially since they've bought the majority of their competition. Really thinking Verizon may not be so bad after all.
