Samsung Gal A53 5G must be restarted multiple times daily to send SMS & MMS
My A535G was purchased new in about May 2022.
Randomly at different locations, on Wifi or mobile network, SMS and or MMS messages fail to send. The tiny dots just spin for minutes until the "Couldn't Send Message" dialog pops up. Resending over and over numerous times fails. I'm using the Messages app with the 3 Dots not the app with 3 Lines.
As quickly as I can restart the phone the new/resend message sends instantly. Every time. This happens in number locations all over my work/live area in Southern Illinois, I don't recall if it happenes when I'm in Florida or not.
My APN is T-MOBILE US LTE (fast.t-mobile.com). Details available on request.
Is this a network or hardware issue? It never happened using an Samsung Gal A51(A515F/DS) on Mint mobile before switching to T-Mobile.
Additionally I must say there are times when I have 4-5 Bars signal of 5G or LTE and the phone isn't usable for any mode. Sometimes after restarting its does operate, sometimes not.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

isnt usable as in no data and cant make calls or isnt usable for texts only?
was the phone purchased from TMO or purchased elsewhere and then brought to TMO?
APN settings link just in case there is a difference in there somewhere.

Thanks fireguy
Isn’t usable as in voice calls, I will verify if SMS/MMS operates or not during the false-signal times.
The phone was purchased new from Amazon (The Samsung Store) From here.
I just added the APN in your link. It was not exactly like the one that auto-installed from T-Mobile.

Physical SIM, from my local T-M store.

do you by chance have another TMO device near you? if so are you able to swap sim cards and then send yourself a text to see if it goes through or not? could be a funky sim card.. then again if there is another TMO device around you you can check to see if its having issues or not..if not then its not network and points at phone/sim card.
not overly sure which texting app that could possibly be. if you pull it up under your apps list it should say whos it is..Samsungs or possibly Googles?

The messages app I use is Samsung Messages, Ver 13.1.22.1.
Its most clean and compact without so much space wasting colored balloons, etc.
The next time it fails, I’ll test with the Google messaging app also on this phone.
I don’t have another newer 5G phone compatible with T-M. Only a couple year old Samsung Gal A51(A515F/DS) 4G/LTE only, that was rock-solid while I used it for over a year.
Maybe the slight changes in the new APN will help.
I’ll pickup maybe a new OnePlus N200 or similar during coming November sales.

you might also switch to the Google Messages texting app..at least to test and see if its Samsungs app..their own app and by far not issue free..
side note though..if the voice side is having issues so will regular texts to and from..mms not so much unless youre also having data issues.
