T-Mobile network can't call specific number

T-Mobile phones can not call a specific number which I also own.  This number is for my wife's business.  It is an IP phone using her internet service provider.  All other cellular phones, Verizon, ATT, web based IP, etc., have no issues.  Sometimes the T-Mobile rings once and disconnects.  Other times the T-Mobile phone connects to random numbers when dialing the store number.  I have spoke to T-mobile support.  They could not call my wife's store either.  They described the same symptoms.  The store phone will not connect to T-Mobile phones but it will connect to everybody else.

T-Mobile said it will take 3 to 5 business days to find a solution.  This is not an acceptable answer since a large portion of her customers are probably T-Mobile users.

Are you sure the issue isn't with the IP phone service provider for your wife's business?

  • Her ISP says they do not not have any controls over incoming calls (other than blocking specific numbers).  They do not have specific rules (or lines) for each service provider.  She has called several local businesses that use the same service and they are reporting nothing unusual with their phone service.  My wife also has a T-Mobile phone.

Sometimes when I call the number (from a T-Mobile phone) I get connected to a different country.

  • I have having similar issues, and not for the first time.  We have 4 phones on our account and three of them cannot  make or receive calls to each other, but can make and receive calls from other numbers.  No one has blocked anyone, and the issue started for all 3 of us at the same time today.

Local store was no help.  Very frustrating.
