HP 6500 OfficeJet 710n Printer won't connect to TM Wifi/Gateway
I have an HP6500 Office Jet / 710n printer that's won't connect to TM Gateway. Have worked with TM tech guy...set up 2.4 connection but still get a message of FAIL at mac filtering. What is the solution? It will print if the printer is connected to the Gateway via ethernet.
In my case, I created a separate 2.4Ghz SSID and called it “Printers” with WPA/WPA2 security settings, then restarted both my printer and the gateway, and it worked for me.
Yes...that setting is in place. Still no connection. The printer report says NO FILTERING...FAIL.
The TM tech guy said something about turning off mac filtering but I don’t know how to do that.

Yeah, that's what the tech guy had me do. It will print if it's connected via ethernet to the Gateway. But when I unplug the ethernet from the printer...no printing.

Okay...I just went back and it was the WPA/WPA2 setting that worked (not the WPA2).
