Regarding documentation for purchase of new prepaid Tmobile sim

I am a citizen of US by birth but I have lived in India for most of my life. I am comming to New York for my Graduate studies and would like to open a Prepaid Tmobile sim for my stay in the US. I would like to know what all documents would be required in my case to open a bank account since I am a US citizen with a SSN and passport but no address proof in the USA. Any help regarding this would be greatl appreaciated.
