connected, but no wifi available
jesk.segar wrote:I've never had an issue before other than making an account so I can setup autopsy. Idk when I got the message on my device, but it said my service address changed, and instead of typing the link that popped up on the modem messages, I logged into both T-Mobile apps to find out what my service address was (because it should only be one since I went into the store to purchase). One app says it's one address when I initially inquired about service (but have since moved and where we currently have service) and tech support says they only have one address on file (our current address). Chat support was no help, also horribly slow and no help at all. I should have screenshot the messages but they seemed a little sketchy in general. I fixed the issue myself by just turning off and unplugging, and then replacing in and turning on the modem, but that lasted all but two days.
I'd like to know if anyone else has had this issue. I cha ged the password just now is hopes it'll help, but I have a feeling it won't. My only other option is resetting the modem completely and changing absolutely everything. All of this makes me think we've been hacked in every which way. Thanks y'all!
Hello there,
If you received a message that your service address has changed, it's important to verify and update your address if necessary. T-Mobile advises updating your E911 Registered Address if you plan on using a service at a different location. You can update your address by accessing your T-Mobile account online or by contacting T-Mobile Customer Care.
For the Wi-Fi connectivity, since you've already tried restarting your modem, changing the password, and are considering a factory reset.Ensure your modem's firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Make sure your modem's settings haven't been altered unexpectedly. This includes checking the IP address, subnet mask, DHCP settings, and any other relevant configurations.
I hope this will help you.
