new voice mail and it's asking me to setup voicemail
I have a new voicemail but it's asking me to setup voicemail again. Been setup and working for the last 20 years. I'm suspicious. ¿Qué debo hacer? How do I contact t-mobile for help and not just the community?
I was VERY nervous about this because in this day and age I trust no one, LOL. I took the plunge and went through setting it up. I used my old pin and it let me proceed; I was able to go through it without entering any new info by pressing the # key. Everything is the same and I was able to get into my voicemails after that. It's definitely an annoyance but it's safe guys. They also give you the option to get into your voicemails without entering a pin like before. Hope this helps. BevyT

3. Select option 5 to use your phone number as your greeting.
By doing this did it keep your outgoing message or did you need to record a new one? I have a custom outgoing message that I need to keep for very personal reasons. Thanks in advance.

OKAY! I've read for over an hour. I've had the same outgoing message on my phone for over 3 years. It's perfect and it will never sound that way again, so I've gone 12 days with KNOWING people have left messages but didn't want to chance it. Esto es lo que necesitas hacer:
Go to vm, the auto Lady says she wants to set you up, starting with PIN first. I tried 0122 and she said no that I couldn't have 2 consecutive numbers, so I chose 4 numbers + press #. (all different). Confirmed with pressing 1 when she asked me if all was good. Then she said lets change your name, it takes a second but just wait, you will hear your name the same way that you set it up to begin with, the exact same, she'll ask you if you want to keep it press 1. Then the vm the same thing, she'll Say here's the voicemail that you have and again It takes about 3 long seconds before you hear your outgoing voice. And then she says, do you wanna keep it? Press 1 or make a new one press 2..... Press 1 and ALL IS PERFECT!! I had fourteen messages in which two were really important but I got it to work!! TIFFANY

Thanks, that worked for me today. I chatted with a T-Mobile rep online last week who told me it was Motorola, my phone's maker, that controlled how voicemail worked, not T-Mobile!

My phone never rings any longer, either. In addition, the last voice mail I got showed it came five days earlier than it came! It's not a problem for me, but understand how it would be for someone who uses the phone in a normal way. I suspect it is strictly a T-Mobile problem, not a phone problem, just like they recently wouldn't allow use of voice mail unless you recorded a message starting with your name. My phone is the Moto G Stylus 5G, which I got on sale direct from Motorola for $200.00. I never buy a phone that costs more than $200 on sale, and never one where I would be stuck with payments or obligated to stay with a service until it's paid off.
