Warped Camera Eligible for Trade In?
I got my cracked screen fixed but the crack was over the camera and apparently the heat from the process warped the front camera, so it is blurry and doesn't focus. I couldn't get it fixed there because I was away from home on vacation and needed to go back. Getting the camera fixed is way more expensive than is worth it. Will my device be eligible for trade in for an upgrade? The policy only really talks about the battery and screen which are both fine.
Trade-ins are inspected once received by T-Mobile's partner that handles the trade-ins. Whether or not they will reject or the value significantly reduced on a trade-in due to a camera that is warped and will not fucus is anyone's guess. They look for reasons to lower the value of your trade-in so don't be surprised if you try trading it in and it gets rejected or the value you receive for it is next to nothing.
