data restriction
7 TopicsNeed to turn off Data at night for kids phones
Family Allowances does not work for modern phones. FamilyMode is too reliant on a app to install on a child phone, that can be quickly bypassed in several ways. Turn off VPN, Turn off/on ScreenTime, etc. Is the only option really to manually switch the account from Magenta to No Data for multiple lines? I would gladly pay for FamilyMode if it even worked correctly. All I want to do, is turn off Data for 12am-6am at night.22KViews6likes26ComentariosLimit data usage
Folks, Looking for a way to block data usage at certain times for my kid. We have unlimited data, and he uses it late into the night. Yes, I know the old fashioned way of taking the phone away would work 😊 , but he stays up later than me and I don't mind that, but I want him in bed by say midnight, and I want to cut off his data usage. Family Allowances DOES NOT stop data usage as far as I can tell. I already have that turned on. I may have to go back to limited data since at least that would stop him. Barring the above, is there a way to turn off his hotspot/tethering? There seems to be a way for T-Mobile to do this centrally since they can control the data limit for it... ¡Gracias de antemano!Solved15KViews0likes52ComentariosWhy so much data usage compared to old service?
I am new to T-Mobile Home Internet. With the Light version, we are allowed only 100GB per billing period then we would either have the bandwidth throttled back or pay for the next tier. I noticed after my first day, data usage was a bit above 3GB. That's without watching any videos. If that keeps up, I will be on the verge of using the allotted 100GB. With AT&T, I was given 350GB, but the system was terribly slow. That's why I moved to T-Mobile. Besides that, I rarely went over 72GB per month even while streaming a full length movie at least four of five times a month. So, does T-Mobile measure data bandwidth usage differently than AT&T? I might find myself adding another 50GB at $25 if this keeps up. Also, Light subscribers pay $50, which is the same amount that unlimited 5G subscribers pay. That's a bit unfair, but they claim it's to keep people from using too much data and congesting the towers. Hmm...304Visto0likes6ComentariosInternet data usage
I recently switched to T-Mobile internet service. They say that it's unlimited data but at the same time tell you that your download speeds may decrease when a certain amount of data is used in a particular month. What is the data limit allowed before it actually slows down and how do I check my internet data usage? The website seems to allow me to check my cellular data usage but not my internet data usage.237Visto0likes1ComentarioUnlimited usage
Anybody else out there suspecting that T-mobile home internet customers get cut off from the internet after using "too much data". I had (still have) excellent 5 g signal, and have been using consistently about 850Gb a month and then suddenly internet disappears. 5G signal, 4 bars, no internet. Customer service highest levels tech support reading to me garble coverage issues blah blah blah and saying can't help. I am assuming T-mobile is trying to passive aggressive for me to discontinue instead of cancelling non-profitable customers.201Visto0likes1ComentarioCellular data not working in Chicago area.
My cellular data (iPhone14 pro)has been going in and out and if it's even working it's extremely slow. A speed test hit a high of 20mps. My phone will show full 5Guc butnot load and and disconnect from the internet. It will switchbetween 5Guc, 5G, LTE, E, and SOS mode.Using WiFi there are zero issues. Ialso was ona Sprint plan and upgraded to a tmobile plan for "premium data". It's been this way overa month now in the Chicago area. Anyone else having these issues?85Visto1like2ComentariosLimiting Phone Usage
Hello to all, I have been having troubles with finding out how to stop all usage of all in phone apps, safari, face time calls and texting. I am curious how to limit who can call/text/facetime? Also, how to stop the usage of all apps currently downloaded to the phone?? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. On a side note, How do I accept the terms and policy for the cookies within the T-Mobile website? I cannot log in to my profile on my PC??81Visto0likes0Comentarios
