11 TopicsT-Mobile Covertly Brings Back the 2-year CONtract - T-Mobile upcoming EIP policy changes effective July 1, 2024.
T-Mobile upcoming EIP policy changes effective July 1, 2024. **Any NEW** EIP's created 07/01/2024 and beyond will forfeit any remaining EIP bill credits in the event the EIP is paid off "early". Previous EIPS before 07/01/2024 are not impacted. Maybe you have a smaller EIP credit limit and want to upgrade, maybe you just want to make an additional EIP payment - what does it matter - as long as your LINE is ACTIVE you haven't dishonored anything and should continue receiving your credit… This is contradictory to the fact that the bill credits are contingent upon continued service. The loan agreement says there is no prepayment penalty. An EIP that is paid off early for whatever reason by the customer, does not mean they should forfeit what is owed to them as long as the service remains active. NOT to mention they LOCK the eSIM so you can't do DUAL SIM - it's so DUMB. You should have FULL use of your devices FEATURES indepedent of any financial obligations. The only way you forfeit remaining bill credits is if you CANCEL THE LINE/SERVICE and that makes total sense. Is Mercury in retrograde? T-Mobile feels like a total stranger to me and I don't like how these recent changes have made me feel as a customer of theirs.931Visto0likes1ComentarioWebsite is not accepting Trade-in Devices with a Zero Dollar Fair-Market Value (Self-Service) or Crediting the DCC Charge
I wanted to take advantage of the Smartphone Trade 240039 P669 online via self-service. Also because it was waiving the activiation cost. I tried over 10 devices, and 4 different device upgrade workflows and none would work on any promotion if the trade-in device has a $0 fair-market value. The process issuccessful if the device you are trading in, has a trade-in fair-market value of $5 or greater, which is the lowest I have seen it. I know it is a bug because this didn't used to be an issue in the past(trading in any device, even if the trade-in value was $0). This increases customer contact(unecessiarily). Instigates a store visit to complete the upgrade which subjects the customer to cramming and other liabilites associated with in-store transactions. While I have you, why can't business customers ship to store/store pick-up like consumer accounts? Improve self-service: Provide us the option to add a "down payment" towards any amount we want to finance on EIP. Why stores are only allowed to do this annoying. Why stores are ony allowedto apply the fair-market value of your trade-in towards your EIP finance amount is another pain point. I don't want some random dollar amount or change on my bill if I can control what I Am financing or paying the better, I hate random weird bill amounts. For example, the device is $168, they will give you a $5 "bill credit" well 168/7 is 24 months; 163/24 is an ugly number and just stupid - just put the $5 towards the EIP or just keep the $5 and make it a simple even number - at least give us this flexibility if we are that detailed about or finances and billing. I really don't understand why it seems like they are against self-service, yet complain about customer contact and hold Agents to unreasonable NCI/NPI or whatever the 'metric' is.316Visto1like4ComentariosDevice payment plan (EIP)
I am trying to review all my devices plan to pay some of them off but it won't load on the app or the desktop web browser. I tried restarting my phone, logging off andshutting down my phone. Is this happening to anyone else? If so, did you find out the reason it won't load to review?714Visto1like7ComentariosCustomer service "Groundhog Day" with unresolved problem
I've been trying to transfer an EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) from my mom's account to mine. Started the process by calling customer service on September 6th. Failed. Called again on October 25th, then on October 27th to re-initiate the process. Failed. Had to drag mom (aged 81) to a local store to verify her ID and get a new PIN number. Called November 7th and was assured the transfer would happen. Failed. Called again November 17th and was instructed to drag mom back to the store to reset the PIN. Did that. Called again on November 26th and was reassured -- for the fourth time -- I'd get an email and a follow-up phone call to complete the EIP transfer. Got neither. For the fourth time. Any suggestions on what to do about this? How do I reach a COMPETENT person? Or maybe get T-Mobile to simply drop the EIP altogether and credit the balance due since they've effed this up so badly and wasted so much of my time, not to mention the aggravation they've caused? I appreciate any and all advice.Solved455Visto0likes11ComentariosEquipment payoff
I have a One Plus 8t on jump on demand that i wanna pay off. I followed the steps to try to pay off my device early but there is no option on the website to make a payment. It just shows me what i owe. I tried both the app and the web browser. I really didn't wanna pay a fee with an operator over the phone. Can someone give me some clarity on this?4.3KViews0likes6ComentariosEIP Payoff and cellular data cancelation
If I purchased an Apple Watch at a discounted amount because I added a cellular data planto the watch, can I cancel the the data plan if I pay off my balance early? Or will I be responsible for the full retail price as a consequence to canceling the data plan, even though I paid off the EIP early?197Visto0likes2ComentariosRemaining EIP Balance on Feb bill is same as January bill.
Anyone else notice that their Remaining EIP balances on the February bill is identical tothe January bill? Somehow TM screwed up their billing software and didn't credit payments against the EIP balance. In short, the remaining balances didn't change between the January and February bills. This issue probably affects many customers other than myself, but it's been over a week since I spoke with an India based rep without it being resolved. Because of the Samsung S23 offers expiring in a couple days, in order to upgrade, I had to pay off an incorrect and too high remaining balance onone of my devices. Now I'm going to have to deal with someone to get the overpayment refunded. And I'm sick and tired of waiting on 30+ minute holds before speaking with someone who doesn't understand the problem and hasn't been trained to deal with it properly.109Visto0likes0ComentariosRecurring Device Credits (RDC) if i use the device on different account
Hi - I am currently using another old phone (Iphone 7)on one of my lines for which I get Recurring device credit (RDC). The phone linked to this line and RDC (Samsung phone) is currently not used. I am planning to give it to my dad to use it on a new Tmobile account. My question - if I continue to make my monthly payments and keep my original line active, will I lose the credit (RDC), if the phone is activated on a new Tmobile account?645Visto0likes1Comentario
