I recently started testdriving T-Mobile home internet at my house, and it's worked great for everything except games, where I'm having a weird issue with some of them. When I try to play Apex Legends on PC, the game will connect and play really smooth for anywhere from 1-3minutes, and then all communication will be lost, which will take 20 seconds for the game to kick me out to the main menu. If I go back into the game from the main menu, it'll work fine untill the 1-3minutes elapses. During all of this my PC never loses connection, and this issue occurs over wifi and ethernet. This issue probably does not lie with the game as this issue does not occur with other ISPs, and it did not coincide with an update. A similar issue is happening with Splatoon 3 on the Nintendo Switch, where the game will play superb for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before dropping the connection. Is this a known issue with the service or gateway, is there anyway I can debug my connection, and does anyone know anyway that could possibly remedy the situation? I'd love to keep the home internet, but one of the main things I use the internet for is games, meaning this service wouldn't work for me.25KViews19likes97ComentariosNintendo Switch w/NOK 5G21 Gateway
I was thrilled to change from my previous provider to T-Mobile's internet. The speed is great. The service has been super reliable. Where I'm having trouble is on my Nintendo Switch. I can't getvisitors on my island on Animal Crossing. I can't race against friends on Mario Kart. Virtually all online gaming functionality is useless. And I'm frustrated I haven't been able to find a solution. I called support and they basically said there's nothing they can do. Has anyone found any solution to this?!17KViews6likes29ComentariosHome Internet Gaming Connection Issue
I've had t mobile home internet for about a week and the download speeds are actually amazing. and streaming tv doesnt skip a beat, I have no complaints on that end. I'm impressed to say the least. but the whole purpose of buying this gaming computer and getting internet was to game online. Anytime I try play gta v online, fortnite, red dead online, pretty much any online game, I connect to a server for about 10 seconds - a minute and I get a timeout connection failed message. I noticed on all games it says my NAT type is strict which I know isnt good for online gaming. I accessed the t mobile router settings to see if I could change the NAT settings or forward some ports but there is literally no options to change the settings. Before I cancel my service this is my last option to ask the t mobile technical support if there is a fix or work around. thanks2.6KViews4likes8Comentarioshow to reduce ping / latency with 5g home internet
hey! I just got the service and the download and upload speed are working great. unfortunately,I'm not about to game anymore because of the latency / ping. the ping on my speed test usually reads about 50-60ms but onceI'm in game it's around 120 and has a lot of lag. I was wondering if there's any way to reduce lag / latency? maybe connecting a high-speed gaming router? is that possible? does a 5ghz network help? thank you so much for any help!!!!64KViews4likes12ComentariosWorld of tanks and TeamSpeak issues

This error just started appearing tonight. I have been successfully playing online since I first signed-up for TMHI, now all of a sudden (BOOM!) I can't connect to anyone, nor can they connect to me. I've restarted my gateway (Nokia) and Switchmultiple times to no avail -- I've also tried using custom DNS, with no improvement. I also tried connecting to my mobile hotspot (also T-Mobile) which worked fine before -- now nothing. My NAT type as reported by the Switch is "B" which should be good for connecting (It's always been B, when I was gaming fine before) Did T-Mobile quietly change something which kills Nintendo Switch Online? Are there any solutions which don't require me to add yet another monthly subscription to my growing list? Nintendo Switch Online is an important part of staying connected with distant family members, so any help is appreciated.1.1KViews4likes2ComentariosMLB The Show does not work on my T-mobile 5g internet box.
MLB The Show does not work on my T-mobile 5g internet box. It will say "Challenge Failed" when trying to play an online match. The game works perfectly fine when i bring my xbox to my parents house. But when i bring it back to my wifi, it doesn't work. I test the NAT type until it's open, I reset the router, etc. I've done everything I can think of and there no solution. Does anyone have this same problem? This is the only game that won't work either. This and NBA 2k brought me some issues. But i can play COD or shooters on my wifi… but cross play sports games seem to bring the issue6KViews3likes21ComentariosNo Port Forwarding, no UPnP, when will this be resolved?
Searching the forums this has been a problem since tmobile home internet was launched. Several Closed topics indicate customers received feedback from tmobile that "is aware and working on a solution." Those same threads are 11 months old. When, if ever, will tmobile address the lack of UPnP, which limits functionality for most games and other streaming devices by resolving this or adding port forwarding capabilities?1.7KViews2likes1ComentarioDO NOT GET T MOBILE. INFO FOR GAMERS. It Doesnt work AT ALL
I got the 5g Gateway and I cant do anything i Need to. I cant Play On My Ps4 OR Stream On twitch. It Says My NAT Type is "type 3" my Ping is EXTEREMELY HIGH On everything. I Only Switched to this because AT&T goes out every time it rains and takes forever to come back on. THIS SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE. id rather deal with outages instead of nothing working at all. This Service is a COMPLETE rip off and I would NEVER recommend it to ANYBODY IN THE WORLD. I've Only Had it For a Few Hours and I've been frustrated Ever since I turned it on. This Has been the worst Internet experience I ever had in my entire life.488Visto2likes1Comentario
