5 TopicsExtremely high latency with home internet
Just recently got the home internet gateway and it's been incredibly disappointing. For the price of it and the fact we have cell towers, including tmobiles towers, within less than a milebof our home, it's been incredibly underwhelming. Speeds are anywhere between 20mbs and 300, meanwhile the latency is consistently well over 120ms (as high as 800) on downloads and several thousand milliseconds on upload. We've had the gateway in every spot we could think of, each one reading "excellent" signal on the gateway and app and single location was better than any other. Even had it sitting outside the balcony and it was still horrendous performing tests directly on top of it. Is there anything to bother trying with this or just send it back? Was hoping for something at least halfway decent compared to what I had last and somehow it's come up even worse for wireless connection.7.1KViews0likes17ComentariosSevere slowdowns and lag after 2am CT
I had noticed that my T Mobile home internet slows down after midnight, then it would disconnect, reconnect and everything was fine. Fast forward to today and my speed drop to 8Mbps download and zero upload. I tried calling customer service and they said to reboot, reboot, and you know, reboot the modem. After a short amount of time with customer support my modem speeds increased to 56.52 download and 9.86 upload. The latency is 275 down and 517 up. Prior to 2am today my speeds were 225.57 down and 8.07 up with a latency of 192 down and 492 up. The support rep on the phone said that 56 down is acceptable but I disagree as I was having 225 down prior to 2am this morning. Is anyone else seeing a significant decrease in speeds and latency after midnight?Solved716Visto0likes12ComentariosArcadyan KVD21 Gateway preventing my PS5 from connecting through ethernet
Recently just got a ethernet cord from a friend and expected better speeds than 7Mbps (which I have been having) so I can play Helldiviers 2 with my said friend and not lag or get kicked due to "connectivity issues" every 10 mins. Instead Igot an issue with the ethernet,I connected an ethernet cord to my arcadyan KVD21 gateway then to my PS5 went to establish the connection on my PS5 it worked for 5-10 minutes, then it wouldn't connect with my PS5 saying that the router might be preventingthe ethernet connection, and to make sure I can connect regularly (which I can) by testing the connection using my computer or mobile device. What should I do? Am I able to change from IPV6 to IPV4 so I can connect my PS5 through a LAN cable? Does the arcadyan KVD21 gateway not support ethernet connection to PS5? Am I gonna have to switch Internet Providers?127Visto0likes0ComentariosHigh-Speed Internet Gateway does not work with some apps on T-mobile Home Wifi Internet
I don't know if anybody can help. Encountered a few deal breaking moments with T-mobile Home Wifi internet. I get a whopping 100-235mbps with my High-Speed Internet Gateway but it prevents full access to apps causing extreme lag spikes, pages not loading and video not playing with Amazon Prime Video (on PS4 and on Amazon Fire Stick 4k), TD Ameritrade trading platform for Windows 10, and to a lesser extent apps like Epic Games on PC I also have T-vision TV package, that works fine. So does Netflix. Epic games was able to be fixed once telling PC to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. respectively. I had to use Nord VPN to get TD Ameritrade to function correctly without freezing at times, DNS change did not work here. Amazon prime video is still a no go, constantly stops and takes a long time to load again only to stop again. DNS change also did not resolve the issue. It should still work with Nord VPN because it bypasses all T-Mobile filters, but I did not buy T-mobile Home WiFi internet to need the VPN all the time, so I did not bother trying VPN with Prime Video. Is that something we can possibly fix in firmware? And soon please? Speaking of firmware. There is no place to get a new Firmware update which the High-Speed Internet Gateway critically needs. It lacks too many features. One the most needed features is to allow the High-Speed Internet Gateway to turn in just a modem and turn off all routing features so that users can bring their own independent routers to handle DHCP and other advanced functions. High-Speed Internet Gateway also has a bug where I can not fully disable all of the WiFi Signals. You can stop broadcast and SSID from being announced and reduce the radio power for 2.4ghz and 5ghz from 100% down to 12% but it is still not entirely off. I can still see a 5ghz band displaying a signal and allows me to connect when WiFi is supposed to be disabled. Apparently there is a 5Ghz low and 5Ghz high antenna mode. And the 5ghz high is the one that remains visible and usable. Can not be turned off. I don't want to use the hub for wifi, just want to use hard wired internet. I hope to see these issues addressed in the next firmware update with a resources on where we can obtain the new firmware update file as right now there is no information on that anywhere for the new High-Speed Internet Gateway. At the very least I want to see the simple feature of turning the gateway into a modem all by itself and I can handle all the routing on my end instead and if it comes to it I can do a whole house VPN that way and bypass all the problems. Older gateways had the expert mode from what I could see, please bring that back too if you can. Thank you for reading! And for the help! Mike P.S. I have already tried turning it off and back on again, obviously does not work. VPN seems to be the only way to bypass all the problems, but since the unit can not disable routing to act solely as a modem, I can not use a separate router for DHCP and to run VPN for the whole house.9.4KViews7likes21ComentariosS22 Ultra 128GB version lag
So ever since I bought the phone a couple months ago I have had issues. The UI and virtually all apps are extremely laggy. The camera is damn near unusable and takes forever to start. I have been doing research and found out that it is only the 128GB version that has this. T-Mobile is aware of the issue. Upon calling my local branch, I figured out very quickly that they to are aware of it and have been recieving numerous complaints. They are reluctant to help and simply referred me to the mytmibileclaim website. However if you try and file a claim due the a manufacturer defect they will not allow you to complete it. It will force you to choose an option that states that you got it wet or dropped it. If you answer no to both, they will then display a phone number to call. This is because they want you to pay the $200 deductable for there mistake. I will be calling them tomorrow. But I can assure you... I will struggle to understand the person I talk to because they will not speak English well, and they will not resolve my issue. I will get fustrated and simply switch carriers and sue for any remaining balance as well as the unnecessary charges occurred on my bill due to there past goofs. If you are interested in joining me, feel free to comment. If by some miracle they end up replacing my phone at no cost to me and in a timely manner, I will surely let everyone know and continue to remain loyal as I have been for over 10 years. At least until the next goof.199Visto0likes2Comentarios
