Re: what's up with T-mobile removing autopay discount for credit cards?
syaoran wrote: That was announced months ago. It is because credit card companies charge a service charge that is based on the percentage of every transaction, which eats into T-Mobile's revenue. Removing the auto pay discount for credit cards negates that. Right… So, the credit card company charge (which is at MOST 3% although for a large company like TMobile it would more than likely be closer to 2%) on a line which costs around $25, would be $.75. So, they will be removing a $10 benefit because they are out $.75. Suuuuure, it's the Credit card companies fault, surely not TMobile.1Ver1like0ComentariosRe: Anyone know the secret to get a sagemcom router?
You are right. And maybe the other two Nokias also had the same lose antenna connection problem to cause the exact same problems. Perhaps there is an issue with their connectors. I'm happy your nokia works perfectly for you in your situation! Now at least I have something that will work for me in my situation.5Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Anyone know the secret to get a sagemcom router?
Was actually able to get one. Just taking a chance I stopped in at a local tmo store. They came out with an actual stagemcom! It's hooked up and what a difference! Same exact location, one to two bars Nokia, four bars stagemcom. 5 to 12 MBps Nokia, 60 MBps stagemcom. So far 3 hour later no drops, no disconnections, no issues. Never went that long with the Nokia! Greg4Visto0likes0ComentariosAnyone know the secret to get a sagemcom router?
I've been struggling for over a year with problem on the trashcan. Everytime I try to upgrade to a new type modem the answer always is "we only replace what you already have". I tried to upgrade to the new arcadyan, and nope, will only give you a new trashcan (even though no luck on my third trashcan...) Now that they have the new sagemcom which even tmobile support says should fix my issues, I can't get them to give me one! Anyone have any secrets or know the secret handshake or password to actually get them to upgrade me from the old trashcan to the new sagemcom?1KViews0likes10ComentariosRe: When can I JUST use TM internet modem as ONLY a modem, in BRIDGE mode, with NO NAT, NO firewall, and frankly NO Wifi.
DaaBoss wrote: PLEASE let me know when can get a PLAIN modem from T-Mobile, or BUY my own modem, or SET their modem up to DUPLICATE the functionality of Spectrum. Easy answer. Never. In fact each new "modem" they release has less and less options and that's the way they like it. Unfortunate, but true. If I had *any* other alternative, I have two choices… DSL at 1 mbps, or Satellite at horrendous latency, huge prices, and loss of signal all the time.6Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Home Internet - Port Forwarding not working
I've even tried to add a AAAA record for the supposedly public IPV6 address and that doesn't even work. Guess I'll give TMO a try to see if they can resolve the issue of not being able to contact from outside my network for many things.5Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Using the TMobile ISP Box sim in a Netgear LB1120
networkdaemon wrote: Working on the same issue. Put together the following build to move the Home Internet SIM to a better device and experienced the same failure. A vanilla account SIM on the fast.t-mobile.com APN connects fine and the Home Internet SIM on fbb.home does not work at all (no network association). I have gone so far as to reprogram the modem IMEI to match the T-Mobile Home Internet Gateway IMEI without resolution. I do this for a living and it does not make sense. Build: + MikroTik RouterBOARD RBM11G + Quectel EP06-A mPCIe LTE modem + Case, antenna, connectors, etc. Couple of questions, if I may. One, did you contact TMobile about doing this separate modem and getting it to work? Second, what exactly did you put together, and what was the cost? I'm thinking of trying the same.1Ver0likes0ComentariosRe: Home Internet - Port Forwarding not working
I have to say I agree. Everything was working perfectly with a different LTE modem I had connected to my EdgeRouter X. I have extensive home automation. I saw that there is no bridge modem for this "you have to take everything except nothing" all-in-one from TMobile, so just plugged my router into the LAN port and nothing worked. After extensive looking around, I was just stuck. I took the router out and tried to get the port forwarding all done in the all-in-one from TMobile. Some things work, but none of my home automation (through hassio if anyone knows that) is completely broken. Now "Alexa" doesn't know any of my lights, my heaters, my Ring lights, nothing. I have to manually turn things on and off and I don't see a way around it. And I take it we can't use our own modem? Speeds are great, but this looks like it's meant for those who know nothing and can only handle a plug and play internet.5Visto0likes0Comentarios
