Misrepresentation about new iphone
The short version is about 7 weeks ago my wife and Ileft Verizon after 20 plus years for T-Mobile. I was looking for a good price and service with unlimited data. To my amazing surprise I was told for new user sign ups I could get $700.00 off each iphone 13 trading in our old iPhones. There was a sign about the promotion on sample phones and I could not find any small print hiding the facts. Iask and they made it clear it did not matter what iphone we traded in, just working and no cracked screens.(this was justbefore iphone 14 intro) I've have been negotiating professionally for over 40 years, now retired. I'm an extreme doubting Thomas, extremely detail oriented, if it's too good to be true kind of guy. I asked questions like- If we sign up now, trade in working iPhones, HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST US FOR ALL PHONES AND START UP CHARGES IN ADDITION TO REGULAR MONTHLY. Answer, it would be a maximum $130 up front.Told them this really sounds toogood to be true and slowly ask the questions again. Upon receipt of my first autopay statement the bill was higher but I assumed it was the expected up front charges and let it go. Next month same amount so when I checked t-mobile rather than honoringwhat I agreed to had applied a two for one discount on phone leaving with 24 months payments 35.00 for mine and & $4.50 for my wife. CHECK MY CREDIT I DO NOT FINANCE $800.00 for PHONES. Without the $1400 off new phones there is no way we would get new ones. We are retired and our old iphone where just fine. When I returned to the T-Mobile / Connectivity Source in Avon, Ohio they adamantly denied saying anything like that they were not aware a two-for-one offer was applied we never spoke about that. They thencontacted whomever T-Mobile to ask them and they simply stated they applied the 2 for 1. Iexplained we never spoke ofthe two-for-one over and over they simplydenied and would not admit they made a mistake.I don't the believe thegentlemen thatoriginally gave me the wrong information meant to be misleading, he just did not know what he was doing and now seems incapable of believing he could ever make a mistake. No way to prove other than us against them. Not sure this post will do any dood but I have to try. I've emailed the franchise holder Connectivity Source in Texas, they ask which store. In fairness thatreply came just 6 days ago from today 10/10/22 but they likely legally have me and I've just lost faith in companies to do anything just because it is the right thing to do.203Visto0likes1Comentario
