Re: I wish the T-Mobile Home Internet Gateway was JUST a modem!!!
You can turn off the Wi-Fi by any of these methods. However, the Gateway is still a router. I have found no way to operate it in Bridge Mode. Therefore, I still have the double NAT issue and cannot access my home network remotely via VPN. T-Mobile, please provide just a 5G modem with out a router or give the ability to operate the Gateway in bridge mode!158Visto4likes0ComentariosIssues When Using Google Mesh to Extend Signal
I have been very happy with the T-Mobile 5G home internet service at my house. I get excellent signal if the gateway is in an upstairs window. I bought a WIFI 6e adapter for my computer and can consistently get over 300mbs download speed. However, the WIFI signal does not reach my entire house. I tried a Netgear extender and could not get it to talk to the gateway. It was recommended by a T-Mobile rep to get the Google Nest mesh system and t-Mobile provided me with a discount for it. However, I have been struggling with it being a sub-network to my home network. I need to connect my PC to it in order to connect to my printer and other devices on my home network but the download speed is slower on my PC when connected to the Google mesh system200 vs 300 mbps. Also my smart TV needs to connect to the Google mesh system due to its distance from the gateway and when streaming the video occasionally stops for a second or two even though the sound does not. I would keep my computer connected directly to the gateway but need to use the printer which my wife also uses and she must connect to the mesh due to the distance. I've tried opening the ports on the Google router but still cannot see my printer when connected directly to the Gateway. I'm open to any solutions to this but t-Mobile needs to come up with it's own mesh system so we are not having to deal with sub-networks.103Visto0likes0ComentariosMy iphone will not log into the home internet gateway using the app but my wife's phone will.
I could not log into the gateway with my iPhone. I tried resetting the gateway password to the default, doing a factory reset and uninstalling and reinstalling the T-Mobile internet app but it would not take the default password on my iPhone. I installed in on my wife's phone and had no trouble logging in.32Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: How do I connect a Netgear Nighthawk wifi range extender to the T-Mobile internet gateway
I tried it every which way. I split TMobile to two names. Then I set it back to one name with the Netgear box checked. Every time Netgear did not see the 5G network. It saw a lot of 5G routers of my neighbors but not TMobile even with the two boxes sitting right next to each other. I reset both devices and tried downgrading the firmware on Netgear. After hours chatting with Netgear they told me to return it for another extender. If I get another extender it will not be a Netgear.3Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: How do I connect a Netgear Nighthawk wifi range extender to the T-Mobile internet gateway
I can connect the AX1800 range extender to the 2.4G connection to TMobile but it will not see the 5G connection. I've tried resetting the Netgear extender but it still doesn't see the 5G connection.3Visto0likes0Comentarios
