Re: Why the Extremely long hold times to get technical support?
It's a problem with the T Mobile gateway IP address showing as a different location than your home. I live in Virginia but the gateway IP shows as a location in Maryland. Some other streaming services like YouTube TV let you set your home location using your cell phone's GPS location. Not sure why Hulu doesn't do the same. If you're mainly looking to get live local programming, try a digital TV antenna to receivefree broadcast channels. The quality is as good as cable/Internet streaming and you don't haveto deal with T Mobile's poor bandwidth duringpeak periods.2Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Extremely Slow and Unusable Speeds
I'm sorry to say, but I think this is just the nature of wireless Internet service. We've had TMHI for a year and a half and third party ATT service before that and had the same experience. The fine print in the TMHI service terms says customers may experience slower speeds during periods of congestion. I think this is because our data gets lower priority than mobile customers. We live in the country and don't have many good options, so we're stuck with it for now.13Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: Home Internet Extender
We use the Netgear Orbi mesh wifi system and it covers a two story 3100 sqft house very well with a router on the first floor and one satellite upstairs. It's plugged into the T-Mobile Arcadyan gateway via the WAN port on the Orbi router and just works with no further configuration required. I just wish the T-Mobile Internet speeds were as good as the wifi system.6Visto0likes0ComentariosRe: 5G Home Internet Suddenly Very Unstable And Technical Support Is Essentially Useless
I've had the exact same experience in Virginia, with speeds dropping to low single digits over the last 3 months, after being good for over a year. And always the same excuse from tech support as others have said- they blamed it on tower upgrades and promised improvement when completed. I upgraded from the Nokia to the Arcadyan gateway but that made no difference, except the Arcadyan gets a better signal (3 bars vs 2) but speeds are still poor, rarely getting above 10 Mbps. And it never connects to the 5g secondary band, just 4g. In the past I was getting fairly consistent connections to both. Very frustrating as we don't have any other good Internet options here.3Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Arcadyan KVD21 5G internet device will never connect to 5G tower
I'm having the same issue- three bars on the Arcadyan gateway I just upgraded to but no 5g connection. And download speeds as low as 1 Mbps in the evenings. Tech support claims the 5g tower I had been connecting to is undergoing "upgrades" but they've said this everytime I've called before. I wish they'd just be honest and admit their network can't support the load. If I had a choice I'd cancel but options are limited where I live. It's just been a very frustrating experience. I have Verizon for my phones and considered switching to TMobile, but not going to based on this poor service.2Visto1like0ComentariosRe: Daily (Random) SEVERE Slowdowns
I've had the same experience lately. Upgraded to the new Arcadia gateway and still getting slow speeds (less than 20 Mbps), especially in the evenings, and no 5g connection. Tech support keeps blaming "tower upgrades" but this is clearly just a scripted excuse they've been given to placate customers. If I had any other options I'd cancel but for now I'm stuck. Very frustrating.7Visto0likes0Comentarios
