Discount gone when using JUMP?

You lose the discount because you didn't pay off the phone over the course of time and traded it in.  If you paid off the device and then traded it in without using Jump you'll keep the discount.  It's been that way since jump was introduced. Mathematically by allowing it they'd lose money on every device that jumped, and it would be very advantages for everyone to get jump at that point.
